loved reviewing the movie, however it was ruined by inserting clips from other movies and tv shows just to be funny, it was not, just distracting and annoying. PLEASE just stick with the movie at hand, thanks ;)
PS: the insertions got so bad I stopped watching 2/3's the way thru.

I like the information being brought through the video, but personally I think the memes really detract from it. I know they seem fitting for every word or phrase but it seems overstimulating and distracting from hearing the message. Just some thoughts/an opinion.

Edit: I saw someone else commented along these lines. Hopefully this is still bringing helpful insight.

it certainly would have been a different movie with Chris Farley in it. The out of place fat guy instead of the out of place tall guy. It probably would have been even more physical than it was. But Chris Farley in Tommy Boy (my favorite movie of his) showed he could bring something else to a role. I think it showed people what he was capable of just like Elf did for Ferrell. Elf is my favorite Ferrell movie, and my family watches it every year. Ferrell was definitely the perfect choice.

farley would have been great in a slightly more adult version of elf. and that would have been good in a different way that the movie we got.

This just shows us once again that the suits and lawyers are always behind the scenes doing their best to ruin every single movie production 😒

I thin had Farley been cast as Buddy, then people would be posting on this thread about how he was the perfect choice, so, yes, I think Farley would have been fine. It certainly would have been a different interpretation, probably more manic and not as cute, but still good. I think Elf, like many other good movies, are good because some ideas got tossed to the wayside. I just hope they never do a sequel or a re-boot. It's fine the way it is.
