Thanks for making this video! I've seen a few other people with this question recently, so I figured I'd ask here in case you can provide some feedback:

Currently, the G14 (6700S model) and the G15 (3060 model) are the exact same price of $1099. Both seem like a great deal, and I'm torn on which is the better buy. My priorities in a laptop are generally battery life, performance (at both productivity and gaming) and build quality/feel of mouse and keyboard.

It seems like the G14 has better battery life, slightly better build quality, and better performance on battery at the cost of less performance in productivity (something I plan to do quite a bit of) and a smaller display. In contrast, the G15 seems to have less battery life, but a larger display and a more powerful GPU.

Any recommendations in my situation? Both seem like great buys and it's tough to decide. Thanks for the video as always!

How could you have that performance in cinebench as mine g14 only arrives at 11500 of score.

Stop all of these capped. This laptops G14 I bought it and it keeps crashing like hell even though I played games in low settings. The battery wasn't good either. It only last for 50 minies. The laptop is so hot, unlike this guys reviews. What type of trash reviews is this.

I found an open box G15 with RTX 3060 this week and the more I learn about it, the more sure I am that I made the best purchase at 960 dollars. It has been an awesome first gaming laptop.

Is it possible to use a 65W USB-C charger for the G14 and save the bulk of the original ASUS charger if you wanna work at a cafe, and prolong battery life?

I just decided on the g14, but now i am second guessing my decesion

Despite I really like my G14 (2020), a quality is a problem. I had RMA for HDMI and random double clicks on the keyboard. They repaired it but after my warranty has gone the HDMI had a different problem (motherboard repair cost ca. 150 $ ... 3rd party service because ASUS service is horrible), double clicks appeared again and now the GPU fan started rattling. I red in forums that the fan problem is also presented for 2021 version so expect it for sure for 2022 version too. So guys, these devices are really revolutionary but regarding the price we are not getting the premium quality... BTW my comment had 1 or 2 double clicks ;)

the g15 has to have all AMD or an Advantage Edition next time for me to consider buying it.

Really need a new laptop for development. Currently I have the dell XPS 13 but looking for something a bit bigger so I'm torn between the G14 and the dell XPS 15, both with 32gb ram. Any advise?

I am confused between Zephyrus 12700H M16 Rtx 3060 and the Tuf F15 12650 and RTX 3070. I like Zephyrus more but RTX 3070 looking more value for money as the difference is only $100.

Even though it doesn't have ethener, one thing I love about the port selection of the G14 vs the 15" is usb c orientation. Having a USB c on either side is so nice because it's extremely versatile. Oh, I don't have HDMI on this side? Well let me just grab my dongle.

Jarrod, for the lower spec g14 like ryzen 7 6800 and RX 6700 GPU... will the temps be lower than this ?

Thanks for doing these comparisons for notebooks that meet similar requirements even if they are different in size or specs. It's tremendously helpful when shopping for a new product.
Also I love that you include practical features such as USB-C PD charging, support for DP alt mode, quality of the keyboard / touchpad etc. in your reviews, rather than just comparing specs and performance. These details matter so much in daily use, yet many reviewers don't bother to address them.

Seeing that the g15 temps drop significantly with a cooling pad underneath, I think the laptop is struggling with the clearance underneath the laptop more than anything, even with the whole screen lift up thing. Have you tested whether laptop stand (not cooling pad) have similar effect on the temps on the g15?

I would like to request an additional battery life test, "light load". For example, you could run a video editing software and cut some videos in 4K quality and render them. In some tests, Macbooks were able to get almost five times as much battery life compared to Windows laptops and even have better performance too. I feel that's something people really need to be aware of, that you cannot use windows laptops for anything other than Office and Web Browsing if you are on battery and this kinda defeats the purpose of having a portable laptop. Those 600 minutes of 720p playback will quickly turn into 150 minutes of doing anything remotely demanding and I think latter is the more realistic scenario. I suspect dramatic changes will occur there in the coming years and documenting them with such a test would be useful.

The 15'' keyboard would be better with a small number pad. Which when done right doesn't hamper typing, but would make it more well rounded as a laptop for all users.

what would you choose between a g15 with 6800HS, RTX 3060, 24GB Ram for 1940Euro or g15 with 6800HS, RTX 3070ti, 16GB Ram for 400Euro more? (both with 1tb ssd and 1440p diplay)

Best gaming laptop under $1500? 🤔

Not sure why these would idle at 45C CPU when my Legion is about 35C. Guess it just has better cooling. The design of the G14 is nice but without Nvidia graphics it's a no, and that is reflected by the poor performance in your tests. Also one stick of soldered RAM on both of these is a big no. Neither really seem to stand out in any area. Better than stuff like MSI and Gigabyte for design and build quality but just generally average performance otherwise.

Everyone just wait another 6 months, you will get newer laptops but cheaper overall because chip prices has dropped. The new Geforce 4000s and newer intel and amd would be up to 2X better.

I literally cant find anywhere to buy the white g15 with 16gb on board memory with the 3080. Its like it doesnt exist but it does because its listed on their site. I guess I'm better off settling with the 8gb version

Why have you omitted the razer blade 14 gaming test results. It's a review you've done not that long ago, why not put them in? Disappointing. For many people, they will be more interested in the differences between the blade 14 2022 and the g15 2022 with both sharing alot of the same specs.

I can only assume you know this and are planning a future video comparing the two. But disappointing never the less.

Next time don't purposely remove or not include a very comparable machine in these test. One it's clearly obvious your holding back and two it manipulates the review of the machine.

Jarrod, can you please review the FX507ZR? I would really like to know the performance because for it's price it's a very good machine. The price has been going down crazy since last month, so I would like to know how it would perform regarding there are no other people doing benchmarks on the speciied laptop.
