Pixel Tablet Review: Is Google Back?!

How good is it for video conferencing? And does it have a Calendar app? I was looking at getting a Nest hub max for work reasons (freelancer). But like, I realized the Nest hub Max is discontinuing Zoom and Meets. And, it doesn’t have a Calendar app. Is this tablet any better?

That's actually exactly what I was looking for for my new kitchen. A Tablet with an easy to use dock, that everyone in the house can use to control the Smart-Home-Devices. A device to casually listen to a podcast while cooking and having a recipe open, a convenient timer and calculator. And as a bonus if someone want to conviently share a video, it doubles as a Chromecast. Awesome! A don't care if the hardware is a bit mid or third party apps aren't well optimized. I think it will perfectly fit its niche.

The dock is a paperweight if you take the display off but costs more than a fully functional speaker (Audio) and more than a complete display (Hub). It also doesn't sound better than either of those when you surrender the tablet to it. Total garbage. Sell me the tablet without the shitty dock tax.

Yeah, it is a tablet. But, it's also a relatively cheap tablet targeted toward Nest home use. Criticisms about Android tablets are fair. But, you literally can't buy a smart home product without seeing reviews from people complaining that a product doesn't work completely or even at all with Apple Homekit.

Lo and behold, OnePlus pad is way cheaper and has better overall performance than this tablet. You don't need to lessen your expectations like the Google pixel tablet.

i just bougth a xiaomi tablet (tab 6) for 399, it has a 144hz display, full metal frame, slim bezels, great speakers, sd 870 and 8gb of ram. what is google doing

It's be great if the dock can double up as a Google mini where they can work like the mini with assistant and all hook up thru WiFi to play music together. Then it could justify the $130 tag lol

I would have very seriously considered buying one at this price. Unfortunately it quite significantly more expensive here in the UK, which is a real shame because Google, unlike Apple, has historically kept their Pixel product pricing pretty consistent between the US and UK until now.

What is the AUE (Auto Update End Date) for this Tablet? I tried to find AUE but it looks confusing.
