LAN, WAN, SUBNET - EXPLAINED

A WAN does not have to be the internet or even connected to it. And a WAN does notnhave to have MILLIONS of computers on it. A WAN is ANY network that is not on the same local network.

In the old days, WAN was often connected via a T1, T2 or T3 for a separate physical location, often a long distance away.

Fck me, I have heard the term “subnet” a thousand times but was confused what it exactly means. Not anymore after watching this video. So, thank you!

I have never seen any Company caring for one department people „seeing“ network traffic of the other department.

I got a question. Why are you still connecting, in this presentation, the internet gateway to the first subnet after adding more subnets? In this case, traffic from any of the additional subnets need to pass through the first one to connect to internet. Am I wrong?
Also, why keep adding more routers between all the subnets instead of centralizing them with only one router between the 3 subnets? Isn't the same?
