How to install a standard Door Knob - FAST & EASY!

Anytime i need a doorknob installed i come to this video

This locks my door

Everything went very well but the knobs are very hard to turn

Never thought of need to watch a video for this but I should have watched this first. I ended up locking myself in the room yall! It would NOT open from the inside or the outside. Ahhhh the field trip I took to get it opened lol. But my inner mechanism might be missing something. I probably just need to go to the store and get a whole new one FOLLOWING THESE FRIGGEN DIRECTION 😂Thanks for the video man.

I wish you showed how to install a knob as the first time install in a new door where the cut out in the door isn't deep enough for the latch and needs to be deepened.

Appreciate your work, but the video does not deal with the 2 hardest parts (in my case); 1) getting the long screws to engage with the rotatable plate behind them and 2) getting the lock to work. On (1) unless I twist the outer plate counter-clockwise, the screws just "fall through" the holes ; so that step has to be done carefully. Then (2) I find that the key slit is not vertical and the lock won't engage, so there is some other step that needs to be in the video so that everything lines up properly. I am still fiddling with the problem and came to your (and other) videos to see if they mention these two issues. So far, no luck. (And I do appreciate the hard work to put the video together. I know you cannot anticipate every problem. I'm writing just in case you ever redo this. My guess is that I'm not the only one with these issues. And ... the instructions that come with a standard doorknob are written in the world's smallest font. So they are pretty much useless. (Frustration!)

Sadly i watched a lot of these doorknob installation tutorials but this specific knob i purchased was poorly made. Screws werent aligning correctly. Will buy another one and try this tutorial again

If you’re locked out, couldn’t you just unscrew the screws since they’re on the outside?

Why my latch won’t turn? 😢

I've never had a door knob line up when putting the screws in (and I've done a fair number!). They are in the right place but take up to 60 minutes to thread. What's the secret?
