Does this or any portable drum solution do real time control of the velocity ?

And how do you locate the preset you just saved? Do you have to a scroll blindly and listen? Also, you didn’t show how you use the verse, chorus, bridge parts. I’m assuming hitting the foot switch can do it, or do you have to buy the external foot switch?

does anyone know if you can leave it in learn mode all the time. I am thinking that for a live performance it would be great to start a song with a few dead strums to suit the basics of the beat and then hit the start button to bring in the additional sounds. it would be great to go from a country song to a rock n roll song if this is the case. I find setting up a pattern and tempo on a drum machine spoils the flow .

Can this thing do 3/4 time? Most of these pedals can't. That's a major deal-breaker for me.

This looks like a phenomenally useful pedal for showing a drummer what you want.

So does it go by round/unwound for kick/snare?

Can I calibrate using a synth or a keyboard using the lowkeys for the kick and the higher keys for the snare?

i just take my looper pedal plug one my outs from sound card into in of looper pedal out of pedal into sound card go to my daw music studio send beats to my looper pedal from my pc to my pedal

Hi Sweetwater: Could it learn a pattern, instead of from a guitar, from an external audio source, like a phone or computer? Or even a keyboard? For example, if I hooked up my phone to it and played The Beatles "Tomorrow Never Knows," would it learn the song's complicated beat? Or must it be string-deadened guitar sdrum ? Thank you.

That's not a foot pedal. It belongs in a rack. You'd be bending over way too much

Oooooor you can search your genre backing track and play them through headphones or speaker and jam with it of get a cheap drum machine and do the same thing

I just bought one of these things going to return it to nightmare to figure out i should will get a computer and put a drum machine and sit there for about an hour dialing back-and-forth ,Do you companies come out with these products that are not really user-friendly they're geek friendly

I bought one used sdrum and I have two questions, maybe you could help me :)



1) how do I create a beat, using only the verse, and when I click on the switch it only creates a quick drop to return to the verse, instead of going into chorus?
2) How do I change from play to learn functions? To be able to re-do all my beats?

Can it do a 16th note swing? Might be fun for house music.

This thing is not intuitive. It is finicky and has a lot of issues. It sometimes stays in "learn" mode. So, you have to unplug it and wait a bit then plug it back in. The beats you create or "teach" it is not what it plays.
I would not recommend this for live gigs. Practice might be okay. But, with all its weird quirks I would not rely on it for live performances.
The idea is good, but it was a very flawed execution. I am actually having buyers remorse after trying to get this thing to work right for the past week...

Cool that you can sync up with a looper. Too bad it's the Jam man..or can you use another like a Ditto ? I have a drum pedal but it doesn't sync..I need this
