The only problem with the "string of roundabouts" road in the previous city was the lack of branching connections to nearby roads, which would have made much better use of the roundabouts. Speaking as a North American, this city is an absolute nightmare... if you like sleep... because I'm assuming that roads create noise pollution in the game. I consider myself fortunate in that I can't sleep without background noise... mostly because I live in an apartment two blocks from the hospital.

You should name it .. "Griditect"😂

I am starting to thing that this game is too easy. Every single "insane idea" city you've made, has worked just fine.

As a Rural American i can say this is my nightmare

Don't think about it as a grid city... think about it as a city of squareabouts with houses in the middle!

The moment I heard one way in a mega grid video I said "Don't turn this into downtown PLEASE"

Summers in that city would be near lethal with all that blacktop. Winter would be nicer, good build tho.

You doing this city might have exposed another major bug or major unoptimized texture or programming subroutine like pathfinding that is causing this major drop in FPS, as your city is still small in population and theoretically shouldn't suffer from any FPS drops.

I'd say road maintenance isn't expensive because roads are barely being used, and each time you make the city bigger you just add more roads so it's never clogged and cars barely touch them. I'd assume that's how it works in the game at least

For the "More Grids Than a Fifa Celebration" City I believe it would of been more efficient if he had used one way roads in his grids to ensure that the flow of traffic is proper.....now if he could do the grid city but with a few more bridges I feel it be better...
