Similar thing happened to me. I was about 12 years old when I was by myself in the alley. Suddenly I see a neighbor's Doberman Pincher jump a fence and ran straight at me. I froze and braced for the attack. As I turned my face and closed my eyes as the dog jumped at me I saw a flash of gray. Still upright I opened my eyes to see "my" German Sheperd tackling the Doberman and they get into this huge fight. After a few minutes Joey (my dog) started getting the upper hand...so the Doberman ran off back home like a bitch. Joey didn't run after him...he stayed by my side. The Sheperd was actually another neighbor's dog which I named and raised since he was a puppy. But everybody knew he was my dog. There will never be another Joey...

I cant stand these dog owners who don't understand that there are people who like to walk their dogs and or they like to let their dogs roam around the yard fenced in or on a leash. Don't put a tire out there for your dogs lead to get tangled in, your dog will be more free to end these fights on your behalf. Also teach your kids to read your dog and not get distracted by dancing and showing off when your dog is showing danger is close! I grew up with bull and English mastiffs, I learned at the age of 4 how to control them and read them. Get a wireless invisible fence, teach your kids how to read your dog and you will never have to have a young girl call for your help. The dog will take care of the threat before you can get out of your chair and won't be inhibited by a lead.

That aint a dog fight...once i was walking in the dirt streets of Tijuana around the rainy season..so the ground was muddy, there was a guy with German shepherd walking with his dog from the store..and another guys dog got out of the fence and the owner happened to catch it in time..but the dogs were already on "what's up mode " so one dog owner asked the other guy.."you want to let them get thier steam out"? And other dog owner said f... it... ready, set, release ! So they went at for 3 minutes till one dog slipped and German shepherd took advantage and grabbed the other dogs ear..and then the dog fight was over.. they broke it up..the guys said to each other good fight have a good day..and that was it..

Had this happen to me twice in one week. The first fight was small. But the second time my uncles dog came into are yard and got his leg literally chewed off by my dads pitbull. Crazy thing is 5 years earlier that same dog came into my yard to maul a different dog we had at the time after it was hit by my cousins car while he was dying and couldnt defend himself. Gues what goes around comes around.
