Hi, thanks for very useful video and advices. how did you made the simple green solution? Also, what do you do after the flushing process to get air out of those 5 dampers?
ОтветитьThanks a lot! But could You tell/show me, how to disassemble the hole part (ink-selector) from the printer?
ОтветитьDo you refurbish Epson printheads?
ОтветитьGreat video. How do we contact you about the service program?
ОтветитьDo you have other 7900/9900 parts? The FFC delaminated to my display controller. I “fixed” it, but it was a little loose in the connector and I didn’t notice it shorted a couple of contacts on insertion until my display went dark. Either blew the display or the power supply to it. Grrr…
ОтветитьHi I have 7890. On your film you mentioned a Service program. Can you send me information about it.
ОтветитьI’ll buy the damper assembly. Should work. I’d love to have a spare.
Ответитьhi am using epson 9700 pro printer plotter. thank you for informative video can you guide me, two colors cyan and magenta is totally missing, and also missing during purging ink can you guide me plz
ОтветитьI THINK my Epson 7900 needs an entire damper replacement. But I don't know how to disconnect the gasket from the ink hose? When I tried, ink flowed out in buckets. Can you help?
ОтветитьNice video thanks. Wondering if you had any good print heads for 7900? I found one for $400 . Please let me know and thanks
ОтветитьAre you going to post any more videos on maintenance for this printer?
ОтветитьHi, In addition to cleaning the damper I also removed and cleaned the print head. When I reinstalled the flat ribbon into the print head it would not go in and just jammed. As a result my Epson Stylus Pro 7900 will not turn on. I have ordered a new flat ribbon. Do you have advice has to how to properly connect the Flat ribbon to the Print head?
thanks,
Kevin

hi you said use 10% simple green was else is in the solution please? thanks
ОтветитьI really appreciate your video and support in how things work with th printer. I have had my Epson 9900 for 11 years and use it for photography printing. I don't use it every day due to the type of work I do and have not had many problems with it. I use a clear plastic cover over the printer to keep dust and the environment out of it as much as I can. It just keeps on going. It has always daunted me in how to service the unit as the cost of everthing is going up aso. This is really good and helpful self do video and feel confident to give it a better look at how to keep it maintained. THANK YOU.
ОтветитьI run Epson 7900's and 9900's and need to repair them myself every so often, this is a very useful and information video. Do you sell refurbished printheads for these models? It would help me not to have to pay $1500 every time I need a new printhead.
Ответитьhello if during washing the liquid comes into contact with the black electrical part, can I damage the piece?
ОтветитьHi, First thank you for your previous answer about connecting the Flat ribbon with needle nose pliers. That was the solution to getting the ribbon back into the print head properly. Now I have another problem. When the Stylus Pro 7900 power up it did not recognize any of the ink cartridges. I did what the Epson Field Repair recommended and used a tube and paper clip to remove air from the ink cartridges. Eventually the printer recognized all of the ink cartridges but the vivid Magenta. I then repeated the tube and paper clip procedure on the vivid magenta cartridge and finally the printer recognized the vivid magenta cartridge and at same time stopped recognizing the Light Black cartridge. Now when I insert the light black cartridge the printer does not recognize all 11 cartridges. If I leave out the light black ink cartridge the printer recognizes the other 10 cartridges. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? thanks, Kayo
ОтветитьGreat video I recently purchased a 7890 and it has 4,400 print pages with my print head last me some time still or do you recommend buying a new one ? Also do you have a website for salvage parts ?
ОтветитьDo you have any refurbished Epson 9900 print heads? Cleaned mine, still have a faulty LLM channel. I think it may be an electrical problem.
ОтветитьAwesome video!
I have a Epson Stylus Pro 7700. That has been standing for a little to long during the covid 19 period. I’m about to try this cleaning method out.
My actual problem right now with my printer is.
I moved the printer and now my printer is asking me to insert a maintenance tank in the right hand side.
I have two maintenance tanks and it’s just not detecting them.
Must I replace the Eject Guide Unit?
How does one contact @O.E.R. to buy an ink assy
ОтветитьHow much for a print head for the 7890?
ОтветитьI just ordered a new ink selector and then I watched this. I am getting air in my line. My magenta line went out so I bypassed it after I tried to clean it. A few months later another Magenta line failed. I'm going to try & clean the selector to see if it will work.
ОтветитьHey there, my printer is working again, but now I'm getting a error code 1138 (over current)
Please help me. Thanks
Hi bro, how do I get it out?
I tried the other day and I drowned myself, the printer and everything within 10ft of the printer in ink 🤦
I can't figure out how to unlock the carriage and have the system depressurised at the same time?
Where do I get the damper gaskets?
ОтветитьHi how can I get the service program for the 7900?
ОтветитьHi friend, i think your video is very helpful ! Just washed the dumper on my Epson Pro 4900, but it still not printing. No errors on screen but no check pattern ether. Any solutions?
ОтветитьIm willing to pay
Ответитьcan you tell please tell me how to remove the two middle dampers. Please!!!
ОтветитьGreat info thank you. I searched the comments and you haven't answered anyone about the service program though. I picked up a 7900 from an art gallery that rarely used it. They wouldn't pay Epson and the local print expert won't remove more than 3 screws when green, i'm hearing is an issue, clogged it beyond self repair. So I bought it from them, cleaned everything, including taking the print head out and having to soak the bottom for a bit. I cleaned it and put it back. Now I'm reading I need the software to finish the head install.
So where do we get it? I see it for sale on Ebay and in Europe but you said we shouldn't pay for it.
Do you sell 7890 print heads?
ОтветитьGood info, I have a 7900 and 9900. How can I get that program you mention in the video?
Ответитьhow did you take it off? thats the problem im having
ОтветитьGood info, I have a 9900. How can I get that program you mention in the video?
Ответитьdo you sell refurbished print heads for epson 7890 ?
ОтветитьI bought a 9900, printhead was replaced twice. I bought chips and refillable cartridges from China and ink from them too. I used IPA and cleaned both the old and the new printhead, it runs fine without any issues. People just don't seem bothered to take their expensive printers apart I think.
Ответитьdo you fix printers? if so, can you share a way to get in touch?
ОтветитьHi where can i download the Epson service programe
Ответитьwhat is the green liquid ?
ОтветитьI really liked your video about cleaning the damper assembly but it would have been nice if you showed us how to disconnect the ink lines. I took the ink line off the front and I had a gusher of ink flowing all over the printer and floor. I could not figure out how to stop it. It was awful. I finally managed to put the line back over the inlet jet and get a screw in it. How the heck can you take the damper assembly off the printer?
ОтветитьHi, I followed your video and found it very interesting. I bought a used 7890 with clogging problems and only 2700 prints. On the first cleaning attempt with the basic procedure I got nothing, always blocked. I disassembled and cleaned the head with the syringe and detergent, and I recovered all the channels except the black, both MK and PK.
the test printed everything except the 3 central lines.
I disassembled the dampers and cleaned them with the syringe, dismantling them all and cleaning them one by one.
I reassembled everything but the problem remains, in fact it has become more serious, the test only prints the two upper and lower lines, so it has gotten worse.
what should I do?
Wondeful insight into the process. Thanks.
Im looking for a printhead for my epson 9900 and epson p9570. Do you have any instock or recommend some place?
Hi do you use straight simple green or do you dilute it with water? I have a 7890 this really plugged from sitting going to try this this week. Thanks for the video
ОтветитьHey, you know the motor on the assembly? I believe it is the ink selector motor. Well, I turned the motor a couple times and I can see it moving to change the ink BUT now it doesn't work. I get an error when the printer tries to switch it and I can hear the motor try too. I tried to move the selector and right when I hear a click I leave it but that didn't work. Any ideas or lost cause?
Thanx for any help.
Very nice video - quite helpful. I have a 9900 and replaced the printhead 5 years ago. I do not use the printer very often at all. The orange channel is clogged and cleaning nozzles does not seem to work. Do you think that cleaning the printhead by immersing the printing surface in the cleaning fluid will help? If not I need to buy a printhead and also inclined to replace the damper assembly. Do you have any recommendations for sources to purchase the printehead and/or the damper assembly. Thank you very much - Anil
ОтветитьHow do we contact you? Your comments on the BCH printer videos are brilliant and knowledgeable. I would love to know your thoughts on some other DTF printers.
