Brand new.
Ответитьthis is 100% NEDA Maritime
ОтветитьNow those are massive engines...imagine the size alone of her connecting rods....to think they used to be exposed on the outside and having to constantly oil them.
ОтветитьWao this ER looks brand new, thanks for a great video! Regards from a former 2nd officer at Wallenius PCTC.
Ответитьwe take it good new.
ОтветитьWhat strikes me about this video is how LOUD the machinery noise seems to be. Do ship engineers tend to suffer higher rates of hearing loss than people from other occupations?
ОтветитьThat's some giantific machinery! 🙂
ОтветитьIt’d be much nicer if there was some sort of narration. What am I looking at? What does this thing do? What work do you do? What is it like living and working on a ship?
ОтветитьAll this complication just to turn a shaft!
Ответитьtorque at 66rpm to produce 32,830HP = 2,612,472 ft/lb!
ОтветитьCe navire est neuf !!!
ОтветитьBeautifly clean enginering and machinery compartments, of course there huge and most likey built by Hyundai Shipbuilding?
ОтветитьSure beats the open knife switch board days.
ОтветитьImagine what CERN looks like.
Seriously way more high tech than this.
The imagination all this will end at Alang one day is unbelievable.
ОтветитьI call bs on this sound being genunine .... it feels like it is made on a computer ...
ОтветитьShite camera work!
ОтветитьListening to this is extremely relaxing.
ОтветитьAmazing video. To think of all the work that goes into designing and making this. And i struggle to fix some parts on my bicycle. The mechanics that maintenance these kind of contraptions must have been those types that played around with mechanics since they were 2 years old.
The sad thing is that they probably only make about 30 000$ a year. Should be at least a zero added on to it.
It's an an engine room, cleaner than many houses would ever be
ОтветитьTurn camera slowly, bucause impossiple to watch.
Ответить800 mm for the cylinder bore. My kitchen table fits in that.
ОтветитьAscona 2018 building ,first voyage at 4 January from Mokpo Korea, ship yard Hyundai samho
ОтветитьNicely done video. Very smooth filming with no jerking around - thank you.
Super clean engine spaces or is this a new ship. If it’s the former, then kudos to the crew! Were those full size boilers?
Thanks,
Ram
I love my job, this places is so much memories as an engineer.
ОтветитьHow much hp in this engine
ОтветитьNice tour on the video. You have a nice video stedy and fine
Ответитьcylinder bore is close to 3 feet in diameter with cylinder displacement being a little over 12 feet...WOW! I wonder what kind of spark plugs this beast uses...
ОтветитьThis is not an engine room, this is an engine cathedral.
ОтветитьWow, thanks for posting it. Amazing! Will you allow me to use some of it in my video? You will be properly credited
ОтветитьAn immaculate engine room. Most of mine were beat to hell.
ОтветитьSeems a tad underpowered for its size. We had similar powered engines for much smaller Obo’s.
ОтветитьOn a VLCC I would have expected more than 7 cylinders...no???
ОтветитьClean and functional. What a playground for an engineer
ОтветитьWhich type fuel?
ОтветитьVery smart , nice to all room
I like and very happy to u all crew
Godĺess u all
Amen
how many long this ship ?
ОтветитьNice and clean but lethal if complacency sets in.
ОтветитьIs this a steam engine?
Ответитьisn't it not these vessels what are polluting the planet and causing global warming
Ответить300,000 ton floating in the ocean. 🤔
ОтветитьWow! No bulkheads or subdivisions to protect against flooding...at all.
ОтветитьVery nice and beautiful engine room... obsolete clean
ОтветитьI really enjoy seeing the footage you folks show of your beautiful ships. As a career sailor, I think it would have been an honor to work with folks like you in my younger days .... the material condition of your ship is amazing. Thanks for sharing this vid!! :)
Ответить7 cylinders seems an unusual configuration for an engine? Most high speed diesels are an even number of cylinders, 6, 8, 12, 16 etc. Is there a reason for this? Or is this a “modular” engine where any number of cylinders can be specified for an application? I was training to be a marine engineer for Texaco in London in 1967, but gave up because the mathematics was too hard for me in steam turbine applications.
ОтветитьTHIS SHIP'S ENGINE ROOM IS SPOTLESS VERY GOOD PERFECT CH ENG,2 ENG, N OTHER PERSONNELS TOO GET THIS CREDIT WELL DONE
ОтветитьGreat video. But what are we looking at? Provide info on what we're seeing.
ОтветитьThe ancient air driven ship or rowing ships were much much better. The civilisation is now destroying this planet.
