Ответитьhi, thanks for this, can I use this in my video? I will give you the proper credit
ОтветитьThis is a great video!!
ОтветитьI know this video is old, but if you are still around, would you mind adding this video to sketch fab??
ОтветитьWhich Software
ОтветитьHere's one I made a while ago. I have the original file should you want to use it as well. ?v=_BbkDTrYVhM
Ответитьmight want to add a slow-mo version of this to make it a little easier to spot.
Ответить@KillerXoX passes through one another
Ответить@KillerXoX Its dissipated to the environment most likely, where else could it possibly go?
Ответитьthe Energy is relative. If you set your average at 10, and you have an amplitude of +3. then the destructive waves energy amplitude is +7 and the constructive waves amplitude is +13. the Energy is there, the numbers only give us a measurements relative to the average ( usually = 0, for simplicity )
Ответить@KillerXoX where there is destructive interference, there is less energy, but there are also other places where there is constructive interference where the energy is greater.
Ответитьwhen theres 2 destructive waves where does the energy go ?
Ответить@johny260 I use a POV-Ray to create the images for the frames of animation, and then VirtualDub or QuickTime Pro to combine the individual images into the animation file. The waves are not simulated; I used the mathematical description of the waves to create the surface contours you see in the animation.
Ответить@AlecTeal If you look closely at the first 6 seconds of video (which is the ONLY part where you can see the wave height from just one source), the heights of the wave peaks when interference occurs ARE twice the height of wave from a single source. The interference pattern depends upon both space and time. The only artificial/fake part of this video is the lack of a decrease in amplitude with distance from the sources, which I omitted for pedagogical reasons.
Ответить@Hoolaygon yes, but how do you suppose the milky way achieves this pattern? and plus it's not perfect it does split a few lines, but i think that's just part of the growth(or shrinking, i think we're being drawn into a black hole in the center of our galaxy.)
ОтветитьIntertwined spiral Symbolic of eternal nature. Thank You
Ответитьexactly as the description tells us: Wave Interference
Ответитьwtf is that
ОтветитьI agree.
Ответить:D!
ОтветитьMight I add, that if such a pattern was to occur outside of simulation, that the amplitude of the resulting joint-oscillation pattern would not reach such levels of co-frequency and thus the symmetry of the expanding central influx could not be perfectly ornamented. To perceive this as an accurate interference ersatz would not be taking into account the factors of external coercion.
ОтветитьWhy, your pessimistic approach to this enthralls me. Altough, I must say, it is blatently obvoius that this phenomonom deserves credit for it''s amazing ability to abide to the laws of gravity. And besides, I did accouting :D
ОтветитьI am intrigued by the enormously diverse structure that this video perceives. The velocity of the diameter equals practically the same amount as the coefficient if collaborated with the dodecahedron. Thus, we have to expect the force of such monstrosity, to cir cum the nodal lines present in a number of occasions.
ОтветитьThis is great! Thanks!
ОтветитьWhy art thou so homosexual? No seriously, why would you delete such intellectual and sciency comments?
Ответитьthanks a lot for explaining that for me. i'm not sure i got it all right, but i'm gonna study and try to understand it more thoroughly. also, thanks for posting the video :)
ОтветитьActually it is both, depending on where on the waves you are looking at. At the end view (from above) you see lines emanating from the center. These lines are flat areas where the two sources cancel (destructive interference)and are where the red rings (wave crests) meet green rings (wave troughs). In between these are the bands of max waves (constructive interference where crests meet crests and troughs meet troughs).
Ответитьis this a constructive or a destructive wave interference? thanks.
ОтветитьHi, I was just wondering what software or language you used to create this animation of interfering waves?
ОтветитьThe effect is pretty much the same regardless of the wavelength, however the pattern would be scaled with the size of the wavelength. To mimic this particular pattern, you'd need to two wave sources to be 3 wavelengths apart. I did cheat a little bit with intensity (the wave amplitude does not decrease with distance from the source as it would in a physical situation) in order to more clearly illustrate the interference pattern.
ОтветитьGee, Thanks, 1.618033.....!
