IHG hotels are on US military bases. Although the loyalty program may not be as good as others, American service members may have an easier time accumulating points or upgrading status

Politely disagree with Hilton being the worst. Simply with the aspire credit card, there isn’t a point restriction on where you can use them (certain all inclusive hotels yes, mainly in Hawaii) but we’ve gotten great value when traveling and staying with Hilton and just don’t see the same service with ihg even with the platinum ihg status.

Thanks for the video. I am trying to compare rates with different hotels however when I click on use points, there is nothing available or there are hardly any options. This is happening with Marriot, Hyatt and Hilton. Am I doing something wrong? I have not transferred points over to any of the travel partners because I want to see my best options.

Good video. Hyatt card is favorite credit card. If u got a bunch of IHG points- NY, Mia, Atl have some very nice properties to use them there.

I was really down on Marriott, even cancelled my SPG Business card over the summer. The locations without high seasonal demand seem to benefit the most from the new adjustable redemption, where 1 cent per point is even easier. Tourist destinations, I'm sure the opposite is true, but as long as I can get value at least occasionally, I don't care when or how. Bonvoy Brilliance in the mail, and no more needing to spend 35K a year to keep gold status!

Lowest HIlton status is Blue, not SIlver. Points are easy to redeem using the app. Click on points and you can see what each hotel night costs. Hampton Inn and HIlton Garden Inn will yield the best value in points.

This video could have been great...a game changer....a content packed, short watch, that everyone definitely would (will) take 5 min. to see....and could have went viral... but some of your content was in error, and you didnt have anything useful to say about IHG. You should save your hard won reputation, and remake this slapped together video, asap.

Maybe someone in the comments can help me understand how earning the Hilton free night makes sense. If you have to spend $15k in a year to get the free night, are you not better off dividing that same $15k amongst 3 separate cards earning 3 sign up bonuses?

There are many Holiday Inn and HI Express for 20K IHG-points per night;

Otherwise will pay say $120 + Tax so easily $0.06 per IHG-point.

I feel is really up to the users.

Question about ihg premier card that you may know the answer to: I know you get fourth night free on award stays. Can you also get fourth night free on paid stays? I’m having trouble finding a clear answer on this!

Hilton and IHG is 0,5 cents per point. You only say 6.25cent in IHG and didnt point about Hilton bc both of them is 4th night free. So that mean both of them is the same thing.
