Amanita phalloides can sometimes be mistaken for pantherinas. Phalloides is similar to death cap regarding amatoxins. Panthers shouldnt be approached until muscaria is understood and even then not a necessary venture for most when muscaria covers the amanita potential quite fully.

Its mostly the gallerina and death cap to be on guard about. Witch caps often grow near or next to mushrooms that people seek in the PNW. High caution there.

Muscaria should not be underestimated especially when fresh. Better to avoid fresh unless its an understood tested calling. If new dehydrated at 165 and microdosing .5g is a very safe approach to enjoy this mushroom and many of its amazing health benefits.
