Thank you, sir, for your review . I am going for LG C3. Saving some extra pounds. Thanks again.

What about picture quality when streaming? The Value Electronics TV shootout concluded that the Sony A95L delivers a superior picture with streaming content. Does that hold true for the Sony 2023 TV range in general?

This is a tough review to write. This was my 3rd Sony TV, I had issues with the other 2, and Best Buy was great and replaced them. This one I received this in December, and it work fine until it started by itself disconnected from the WIFi then I had to reboot the TV, which sometimes did not help, if not remove my wifi account and then put it back in service and sign back into that and hope it worked. It did at times but I could live with it. Over the last month, the loss of wifi connection became a daily issue, I spoke with Best Buy and they said to talk with Sony, well I went through 4 reps, who had me to do this and that and even took over my TV, they did changes and while they were in my TV it lost its wifi connection.
I said this is what I go through daily. Long story short a rep called me back and said sorry TV is within specs, and talk over me for the whole call, what I said did no longer matter. She blamed Verizon FIOS for the issue, told me to lower the TV to the ground, spit my router, and have Verizon make changes to their system so the TV might work better, I kept telling her my Sony 1100ES Blu-ray player never has an issue, my other older Sony TV never had this issue, my LG C9 never had this issue and they are still being used, so when my TV would lose wifi connection I would try my other units and all worked fine.
So in the end she said this was their call and to them I have no issues with the TV. So I have a $2,000 TV that does not work and I have to live with it. So you buy a Sony you better hope you have no issues because if you do, it won't be their problem it will be yours, and they really don't care if you buy another Sony product. I hate to have to write this but I felt I had to do so to warn others of this issue and how Sony will deal with it. They will blame anyone but say yes, we have a problem with this unit.
I am so disappointed, even with their own reps facing the issues while trying to assist me. This is not the Sony from the past where their claim to fame was quality and customer care. When the TV works it is very enjoyable with a nice picture but it ends there after purchase don't matter.

I bought One and very disappointing TV for gaming compared to my LG CX. My LG CX is way much better for Gaming.

Sony always so cheap in features, at that price it shall have 4 HDMI 2.1 ports.

So the A80L doesn’t have the heat sink like the A90J does.

In your opinion which would you say is a better tv? The A80L or the A90J? Yes I realize the A90J is a 2021 model. But I have my eye on it.

No excuse now in 2023 for only having 2x 2.1 HDMI ports.

Comparing Samsong Premium level QD TV to Sony‘s entry lower level a84l is not a fair comparison at all
Also, comparing LGG3 premium TV to Sony‘s entry level TV is not a good comparison as well
Also, you guys have to remember that Sony doesn’t focus on trying to be the brightest like Samsung and LG. They focus on trying to keep the most accurate picture quality.

Finally you guys have moved the barr for WRGB. Honestly though you guys have been rating these oleds too highly for too long, everything 9/10 when HDR has for the most part been flat, red and greens off and aggressive abl.

Thanks for the review! Both Oleds, just like the panel from the previous year, like the C2, has a slight magenta tint on the far right of the panel, very noticeable at any scene with snow. I guess its on all oled panels due to the fact that companies sent the best panels for review.

You can get the Sony A90J master series 65 inch for 2200 American dollars. A much, much better TV.

Hard pass. Only 2 HDMI 2.1 Ports yet again and overpriced as that's typical Sony. Not impressed with 2023 tv's at all from any of the big 3 manufacturers.
