I highly recommend using Youth To The People Superberry Oil as the primer for this stick foundation. The combo is gorgeous!

I have normal combination skin and bought it for lower toxicity. I find that it does break up and tends to smudge easily. It does wear off quickly for me. Thank you for the suggestions of making my own tinted moisturizer with it, that may be a good way to use it every day.

37. Very dry skin. This is magic on my face. Natural finish, even on areas that I have build up, and I live im a very hot place and have gotten 12 hours of wear out of it with barely any touchups. Not a touch up queen. I do prep with my facial oil, Tatcha Silk Canvas in the TZone and then the Milk HydroGrip primer but that is my routine with any foundation. This one has bumped my Hourglass Vanish Stick into second place.

Shows how different everybody's dry skin really is! I'm dry and a bit sensitive. I decided to buy the new abh foundation. It also looks great, but surprisingly gave me a bit of a rash! I have a sample of this and it works great with my skin! Abh claims to be for sensitive skin, no fragrance, alcohol or other yucky things. I was afraid to try this because I've read that lavender oil is awful for the skin! Natural not always better. Essential oils in products can cause allergic reactions. Anyway, for some reason, I put this on my skin instead of the ABH, and the rash is fading!! Weird?? I'm going to exchange the products. It's not perfect, but nothing is perfect on my skin, but really pretty good.

@ellelearyartistry I got the stick and I agree you have to hydrate a lot before. So what I did today was I used a radiance primer on my cheeks , swiped the stick on and than sprayed my face w a hydrating primer spray and than I used my damp bb to blend it all in and it went in better w the spray on my face. The only issue I’m finding is it’s settling into my smile lines and I try and blend it out w my sponge and powder those areas Idk what else to do to prevent the settling. It could be the radiance primer providing too much slip to the foundation. Any advice ?

I have mature skin and find if i spray it will a primer water or setting spray before I blend it helps melt into the skin and last a little longer. XOXO

I love a stick foundation blush I use Vapour but so want to try this! You may be one shade darker?

I think .35 Oz is ok for a stick foundation... it seems so little because there isn’t any liquid in there... I get the same use, if not more from my Lancôme stock foundation and it has around the same amount.

Hi Elle. Good review! I've not tried stick foundation at all, but I remember my grandma and aunt really liked Pan Stick. It was probably a heavy coverage.

I actually like it and got it to work after watching Elle video about hydrating my skin. I am 49 and dry. Have had on for about 8 hours so far .

Im oily combo. It definitely broke up on me around 5 hour mark. I have the hydro grip primer but ive been scared to use it bc its so sticky. The cover fx primer is awful on my skin.

Noted i didnt use a primer with this so i want to try it using one. I live in memphis so its humid and that probably had alot to do with it breaking apart.

I’m 51 but I moisturize my face like I’m insane and was curious about this foundation.

Have you tried maybe using a light oil or dry oil in your skin care before using the foundation? I have very dry skin so just wondering if that would maybe help to give it more of a slip and keep it more moisturizing from the get go if it seemed to get better once your natural oils started coming through.

Wouldn't work for me. My face doesn't produce any oil...it's just old, dry and cracked looking. Prob should've put a sunscreen on at some point in my life but I do loved dark skin.

I love Milks Blur Stick. Elle you recommend regular facials, I know Ulta and I think Sephora do faces will that be a good place to go or do I need to look some were else?

For my dry skin this is a no no for me. As I understand it, stick foundations are simpler and easier to use. Unfortunately, that wouldn't be the case for me.
Having read some of the comments, it appears to be great for combo/oily skin, which is fantastic.

My skin is dry and I live in a very dry climate so this foundation sounds like it wouldn’t be right for me. I have the Bobbi Brown stick foundation and the L’Oreal. They are both fairly good from my experience. I was curious about this particular foundation so I appreciate your thoughts about it.

Thanks for the review. Since I don't care for Kjaer Weiss foundation and I would never put lavender oil on my face I'm going to pass on this.

I have combination oily T-zone skin and I just ordered Kosas during the Sephora VIB event. Now I’m wondering if this Milk foundation might be better, longer wearing, & more medium coverage for me. I work 12+ hour days, 6 days a week for 6 months of the year so, I need a long wearing foundation. I’m trying to move to a clean silicone/dimethicone free foundation. To date, my HG is Estée Lauder Double Wear Light.

My experience is that it works beautifully on oily and combo skin. If Milk wanted to remain natural, maybe using broccoli seed oil would have been a good idea. I have oily skin in the summer and combination skin in the winter.

I’m 44 and very oily skin my whole life~ I did buy the Milk foundation stick~ and I LOVE it!! Not too matte.. does not make me look like an oily mess.. it’s perfect 👌🏻

Hi Elle!! I have combo skin with an oily t zone and it looks great on me!! On my cheeks, where it is a little less oily, I add Chralotte Tilbury's Hollywood Flawless Filter underneath and it looks stunning!! : )
