My dad does the voice of Fred
ОтветитьHe forgets what rhymes with "Fred" that he got fired
ОтветитьSong was stuck in my wife's head today. 52 years old and this song still rattling around in her head. Pretty amazing.
ОтветитьHello my name is Rodney Armstrong the Voice for this strip of Fred Get's Fired
ОтветитьPRESENT DAY, IN A BANK...
TED: Listen up, everybody! We're the Rappin' Robbers!
FRED: Yeah, he is Ted, and my name is Fred! So, put your hands in the air and keep those fingers... duuuh...
TED: "Spread!"
FRED: Yeah, he is Ted, and my name is Fred! Don't pull no business, or we'll fill you full of... uuuh...
TED: "Lead!"
FRED: Right. He's Ted, and I'm Fred! If you're feeling like a hero, you've been horribly... erm...
TED: "Misled!" Dude, you're killing me!
FRED: Sorry, I don't like the name 'Fred'. It's throwing me off.
TED: We're the Rappin' Robbers! Our names are supposed to rhyme, or it doesn't work!
FRED: Well, I changed my mind. Let's switch names.
TED: No way. I'm 'Ted', you're 'Fred'.
FRED: How about we call ourselves 'Marley & Charley', then? It rhymes.
TED: What the heck rhymes with that?!
FRED: ... 'barley'?
TED: We're bank robbers, not horticulturalists!
FRED: Well, I still don't like 'Fred'!
TED: Can we get back to the robbery, please?
FRED: Fine. He is Ted, and my name is... Ned!
TED: Nope!
FRED: Why?
TED: Your name is 'Fred', we agreed on 'Fred'... YOUR NAME IS FRED!
FRED: How about Zed instead?
TED: No.
FRED: Okay, I've also got 'Jed' in my head.
TED: Stop it!
FRED: Juge Dredd!
TED: Why are so good at rhyming now?
FRED: Cos it's funny?
It’s 1220 am. Can’t sleep. This just popped in my head, as it has often over the years. Saw it when I was 3 or 4. I’m 47 now. Glad I found it.
ОтветитьWait a minute! Is this a cartoon characterization of Joe Biden?
ОтветитьUsed by many kindergartners in 1976 to annoy the BUS DRIVER!!
ОтветитьThis song has been popping in and out of my head for the last 35-40 years. I'm 46 now and I always thought it was funny because my daddy's name was Fred.
ОтветитьOMG, I thought I was the only person who remembered this. Sometimes I remember it & think I made it up--glad I'm wrong!
ОтветитьI’m 47 and this little song just randomly popped into my head today. So glad somebody preserved it
ОтветитьAdd me to the list of people who sang this all the time! My sister & I tape recorded us singing this, and messing up the words, and laughing!😇👁👁
ОтветитьHaven't seen that since I was a kid. 😅😆😆
ОтветитьI just realized the tired/fired rhyme!
ОтветитьI sent my sister this link. I could almost hear her fall over laughing.
ОтветитьI'm 56 and I still remember it when I was little.
ОтветитьRemember this from when I was 9 or 10 years old...40 years ago. My brother and I would try to copy the song...and crack up hysterically. Great memory
ОтветитьNow I'm going to google:
Cau you're alive yes you're alive, you ah-liy-yie yie yie liiiiive....and that's no Jive!Breathe In, Breathe Out breathe in, breathe out
Omg, I'm driving along, and this damn song (Lol) just popped in my head. I couldn't remember where I heard it but it made me smile, so I googled.. My name is Fred, they call me Fred, and when I eat a butter up a slice of bread.😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Oooooh man this takes me all the way back, almost to my mother's womb.
ОтветитьThis song popped in my head randomly while i was in the kitchen lol
It was really lodged in my subconscious!!! Holy moly it came oit of nowhere
Cute, clever and very humorous.😃😀🤗😊
ОтветитьI love this. My daughter does too. We are planning on making a 2020 remake for fun. Daddy will be starring as dopey Fred :)
ОтветитьThis is some sweet animation. This done in crayons?
ОтветитьDOUBLE WOW!!! I remember this song from my childhood also. I thought it was from Captain Kangaroo for some reason. Its burned into my brain from childhood.
ОтветитьI am 49 years old and this is even more hilarious than I remembered. Thank you for posting this! I watched this in the early to mid-70s.
ОтветитьI still sing this to myself and, to their annoyance, my children
Ответить40 years ago, my first wife and I loved this song because my dad's name is Fred, and Fred the Singer actually resembles him.
ОтветитьI remember this from when I was 5 years old. I'm 43 now and it still pops into my.... Uuuuhhhh :) :) :)
ОтветитьFunny song!!
ОтветитьThis is hilarious. I never expected to see it again. Thank you very much! 😀👍
ОтветитьHis name is Fred
They call him Fred
He did some drugs
Now he's brain...
DEAD!
I think Fred smoked to much weed and lost his short term memory dude.
ОтветитьI think Fred is a stoner.
ОтветитьI came across this because I was having a fb discussion about songs you remember from fourty years ago. Someone said "My name is Fred. They call me Fred. And when I get tired I go to .... (bed).."
Well done!!! Gold!
Thank you so much for this clip. I sing it with my 4 year old daughter and she loves it. Now she can see the original that daddy enjoyed 40 years ago :)
ОтветитьOMG....I'm so happy someone kept this all these years. I've been singing the song to my daughter since she was born! She's nine and I'm 45. This was the best Sesame Street song ever!! That and the skit with the "container of milk, a loaf of bread and a stick of buttah"! Good times!
ОтветитьWhen is this from? AWESOME 👏😀😀😃😂
ОтветитьOh! Oh! I am so happy!! I can’t believe I found this!! Thank you SOOO much for putting this on here!! I really can’t believe it. I never thought I wou,d ever see this again! It’s been about 40 years since we saw this on Sesame Street and as a family we still sing this song!!
Thank you sooooooooooooooo much xxxx
Yup ...bout right for todays entertainers
ОтветитьI've worked with a few Freds.
ОтветитьWe recently
got a kitten and named him Fred and this song popped into my husband's mind. So funny! We all love it...including our kids. Thank you
These are great!!
ОтветитьI forgot about this song until a few years ago I caught my boss singing it!
then then this lady walked by and he was like...
"My name is Fred. I wish that girl back there would be me ...duuuh..
Head! Head!" I totally lost it for like half an hour. My boss is always very serious
and it's rare to even see him crack a smile, so this made it so much funnier that he did it.
I am a friend of God he calls me Fred. lol that was a running joke between m uncle Alfred and I
ОтветитьOh my gosh....I heard this in the 80's. I couldn't remember all the words and now I have them. Thanks for posting this!
ОтветитьI think I had to be about 4 years old watching this on Sesame Street. I just got done singing it at work and decided to search for it. WOW
ОтветитьDude I can't believe you actually have this!! I thought I was the last person in the world who remembered this song. Awesome!
ОтветитьRoses are red, Violets are blue, and Fred The Rhymer Is Dead :(
