Tip 1) Fear = laziness

While I don't think most tips are what works for everyone, it does work for some.
Tip #1 is great advice though, I definitely should have started streaming years ago, I always had and still have the excuse that my internet is not good enough and while that's partially true, it would still be better than not streaming at all.

Make a username
5-8 characters
2 syllable long
Unique
Avoid your real name

Join discord groups of streamers you watch and start making friends
Put ! or A at start of your discord name to be at the top

Join offline communities

Sit in 'Just Chatting'
Create a discord and twitter

Avoid prime time
12pm CST to 6pm CST

Network with other small streamers
Raid other small streamers and they will raid you

Be consistent
You can easily be replaced
4-6 hrs a day
5-6 days a week

Keep interacting with your community
Keep networking
Keep raiding those around you

Eat healthy
Stay fit
Make sure your happy and your mentally healthy
It will make you a better and happier streamer.

Okay, but what if I’m streaming as a way to get a recording? I’m on console and I don’t have anything else to record on. However, I could download the VOD after the stream and send it out to be edited on my pc. Is this smart or dumb?

Trust me everyone, having your friends and family find out about your channel isn’t as bad as it sounds. Yes they will call you cringe, but the real friends will respect and support you.

"Do not stream on prime time" 12pm to 6pm CST which means 5pm to 11pm in my region. That's pretty much the only time I can after a full time job. RIP ME
