I think Grealish isn't given a chance at City due to is off pitch behaviour. PEPE doesn't like party boys.

I think PEPE will leave on "his own terms" as soon as a manager they want become available. Grealish will take a paycut and go back to Villa since Rashford obviously returns to Yanited where he will sit out his contract.

Happy retirement Ben tozer I'll never forget you got pissed off with me at Northampton when you was playing for Cheltenham in a play off semi during COVID because we couldn't hand you the ball back for a throw in and you had to get it yourself.

I can’t believe people think spurs have had a better year than arsenal. They didn’t play anyone of note. That competition now has gone downhill now. Last season europa league had Liverpool, Leverkusen, Milan, Roma… the best team spurs played was Rangers before playing united in the final… I think any prem team would have beaten everyone they played up till the final

Would much rather see villa in champs again but it is what it is, refs have made howlers all season long in basically every game, every team has got done by aweful reffing all year, its the 1 thing thats ruined this season, need a hard reset for every ref, send them all down to the efl and give those refs a shot in the prem, cant be any worse, refs basically the only profession that can be incompetent at there job with no repercusions, imagine if me and you kept cocking our job up every day then our bosses come out and deny and defend out screw ups, what a luxury

The exact type of player United need that Ben mentioned...they had them and got rid of them. Elanga, Henderson, McTominay etc etc.

If anybody else had signed cunha it would be the best signing ever, but because Man Utd have signed him they manage to find all the. Negative sides of him and say he’s too aggressive. He’s exactly what that team needs right now, he’s driven and puts in maximum effort.

I am genuinely not sure if Ben likes Jaime or not 😂 he gives him shit but I've had a few psych courses, and there's some actually disdain there, lmao. Also I love Ben and the lads and the channel, I still remember when Mark had him on thats football for the first time amd they were talking about doing some champions league watch along etc (the year the super league was a thing) and I've been here since the start of the channel. One thing I cannot figure out is if he likes United at all or of theyre just simply his former employer. I know he's said he was a spurs fan before but Idk if he likes or hates United. Either way, won't stop me from watching, Big up lads, loved all the quizzes and banter this year and I got to watch almost every one. My fav work listen. Looking forward to more in the future

There was 4 moments that cost Villa at least a draw in that game, anyone of those doesnt happen I dont think United win. Good luck to Newcastle in the Champions League, do England proud.

1. You've had a horrible first half, its stoppage time. Just see out the half and get in at Half Time regroup and go again. Cash's back pass was horrid, it didnt even go half way to Martinez, it was a text book lobbed through ball to Hojlund.

2. Emi is completely exposed, normally he would drop rather than be exposed in the middle of nowhere. Its a poor decision to obstruct him and was a deserved red but was the FA Cup final in his mind where Henderson stayed on because Haaland was going away from goal centrally and he saw Hojlund going towards the wing.

3. Despite 1 and 2. Man Utd have created less chances second half, its still 0-0 with 18 to go and Rogers scores a goal. The ref blew his whistle prematurely and means no one can fix his error. Goal chalked off

4. Man Utd score soon after Number 3 before Villa players can mentally regroup from the feeling of being cheated, basically Man Utd sniffing blood and going for the throat whilst we werent at it.

The penalty was inevitable with Villa having to chase the game with 10 men.

The most costly was the ref blowing prematurely and on the referees decision I understand that the defenders "may" have stopped due to the whistle and thats why it cant be given but that is the ref denying a legitimate goal scoring opportunity. Its not the first time Villa have had this kind of decision happen (Crystal Palace in 19/20 with Lansburys goal chalked off for a Grealish "dive" where he didnt appeal, kicked the ball to Lansbury as he was falling and the defender hurt himself from the attempted tackle) and in the era of VAR we need a rule change for obvious refereeing mistakes. I personally think if that scenario happens where a goal is disallowed due to a premature and obviously incorrect blow of the whistle, that the ref should be instructed to view it back and if he agrees he made a mistake award a penalty to the attacking team.

The ramifications of that game for both clubs entering the Summer transfer window means Villa cannot afford Rashford's £40m clause and his wages and so Man Utd get him back. It may also mean that Man Utd spend £40-70m dependant on news sources getting Emi Martinez from Villa.

People here talking about the game as if every football match has been decided by either one team overpowering another on the pitch and/or the mistakes and the lackluster-ness of the losing team. Whatever the decisions made by the teams, a referee's mistake shouldn't be what decides the outcome of the match. No matter how much you argue, in this game, it did. It's not like people haven't seen 10-man teams having to always defend scrape a win. They could also have rectified the situation right then and there, but because the referee unwittingly broke a rule (written or unspoken) of letting the game play on for a few seconds before blowing the whistle on a major decision plus there was no rule to rectify a referee mistake immediately on the pitch, we were left at an impasse. IMO the game should have been stopped even if it's the last of the season. Anything that happened in the game before is a moot point because of this single horrible decision. It sounds extreme, but that's the only solution I can see (or maybe let Villa score an unchallenged goal... I know, it looks extreme to the two United clubs). You can blast me all you like. There should be some accountability of the decision right then and there. The same in Villa v Sheffield game that one time, and the same in Liverpool offside one that another time. The PGMOL still did not learn to at least make a rule in such instances despite the repeated happenstances.

For English clubs alone, conference league is not worth it in terms of the monetary reward and the squad investment needed. It is still European game after all so you do need some investment into it, BUT you get so little in monetary values while the risk of player injury is so high. For the smaller European league outside of the Top 5 leagues though, especially for smaller clubs, it's everything.

Ben...lets clarify the playoff games with sunderland. First game away to Coventry, sunderland intentionally sat back and gave cov the ball with a view to hitting them on the break....we won 2-1. Game 2....we were poor...until the extra time. Yes how the game was won was amazing under the circumstances....but Coventry had 4 shots on target over 2 games. Not good enough. Final, sheff utd dominated first half no doubt but sunderland ended up having more shots on goal than SU. The team will likely be relegated next season but this team play till the final whistle....week in week out. With a few experienced players, this team will give themselves a chance of scrapping to stay in the league.
