ОтветитьBiggest Con is finding an “affordable” place to live. That should be #1, 2 and 3! I love Canmore but the premium cost now to afford housing there vs Calgary has gotten too much in recent years. Most of the pros you mentioned (Ski hills, biking trails,..) could also be applied to Calgary, just means an extra hour drive to get to them. Another CON would be employment. I don’t think there are any high paying jobs in the Bow Valley that would allow someone to move here and live comfortably, much less afford to raise a family. Most moving here now are retirees that are cashing out of the city, aren’t worried about a job and have the cash to afford the $1M you need for just a basic townhouse. My advice to anyone considering it is to compare costs of living in Calgary and determine for yourself if saving the hour drive to the mountains is worth it.

ОтветитьGlad you mentioned the horseback riding. When I was out there I took a few trail rides in the mountains and I got to see a lot more. Super experience.
