This lady is explaining things to the girl in memes
The girl is dumb so the older woman has to give it to her in info graphics 😂
I love how she pronounces "r" in some words. I'm not a native speaker but it sounds so beautiful to me
Ответитьvery sweet and kind interviewer
ОтветитьI love her precise speech, with the rolled "R"s. Very formal, enunciating every word. I wish we still cared about our speech this way.
ОтветитьShe's got good timing.
Ответитьeverything is changing
ОтветитьFlorence is the GOAT
ОтветитьShe was pretty sharp for 108 to, My dad is in his 70s and his mind is already going...
ОтветитьWow. She endured the world wars, the changes of medical standards, plumbing and hygiene advances, several famous landmark constructions like the Eiffel Tower, planes and helicopters, being around to try many things people are familiar with nowadays like marshmallows.
For the psychology fans, she actually born around the early stages of Psychology and the time of Freud. Wilhelm Wundt started teaching scientific psychology in 1862, while Mrs. Pannel was born in 1868. If she pursued this "fancy newfangled science", she'd have probably witnessed the many many mistakes and discoveries psychology has done. She passed away the same year that DSM 3 was published.
She acts so young for her age. Absolute legend. Doesn't look or seem a day over 70.
ОтветитьShe died
ОтветитьShe's beautiful; and very sharp. What a pleasure to see her. Thank you
ОтветитьBrains and beauty, class and humour!! A business woman in Victorian times she was ahead of her time.
And might I say - great skin and gorgeous legs for 104 ;P
"Venturesome". What a lovely word! 🙂
ОтветитьDaing she old , she forgot to die 😂
ОтветитьOmG!!! I am related to this lady.! Panell is my maiden name.
ОтветитьIf Mrs. Pannel was 110in 1997 then she was born in 1887!!! As she said, EVERYTHING certainly would have changed. The automobile, flight, electricity, The Great Depression, WWI/WWII & the Korean/Vietnam Wars, space exploration, the computer and these are just some of the major changes she's been witness to. We seriously need her wisdom back again. 🌹🐛
ОтветитьAbsolutely fascinating! Her clarity of mind and storytelling skills are truly remarkable. It's heartwarming to witness someone with such a rich history share their experiences. She lived through an era of immense change, and her perspective is a treasure. 🌟
ОтветитьI want punch cheers!
ОтветитьI would listen to her stories about ww2 and Charles Spurgeon Evan Roberts, firsthand
ОтветитьLovely lady. Sad she doesn't get around much these days. D.A. NYC
ОтветитьGod how I would have loved to have been alive before we were culturally enriched, it would be amazing to see how a functional civilization worked.
ОтветитьThat was very charming!
ОтветитьThis just shows you that people aged well, something is wrong with either the food, medications, or water today. I have noticed everyone 50+ years before us are in much better health in old age than the average middle aged person today.
ОтветитьScroll across the video to the most replayed bit.

Perfect English, not like the subuman version spoken in the illegal United States of North America
ОтветитьBritish English is so elegant, wonderful language to hear.
ОтветитьShe keeps referring to Punch....would that be Punch or the London Charivarl magazine?
ОтветитьShe looks amazing for a 108 years old lady...
ОтветитьIt makes me laugh. What would she make of 2023.More videos👍🏴🛶
ОтветитьBoa tarde, vim aqui dizer que só o amor de Deus pode preencher nosso vazio. Só falem com Ele
ОтветитьI really like this woman, she's funny
ОтветитьClimbed trees a million years ago, started running (with fire) 500 thousand years ago... lived in caves 250 thousand years ago, 125 thousand years ago we threw spears at sabertooths 67,5 thousand years ago we meet and greeted a similar race the Neanderthals. 33,7 thousand years ago we made the Lascaux paintings depicting the Przewalski's horse for example...
16 thousand years ago we still used stones for tools... 8 thousand years ago we started farming with animals and grass. 4 thousand years ago we changed our tools from stone to metals... 2000 years ago religions was a thing, 1000 years ago religions almost took us back to the stone age, 500 years ago was the age of exploration and the planet got smaller...
I get why Florence says everything changed... Humans have done so much stuff in the last 110 years that is just crazy... Sort of a race to the end or to something new... Hopefully something new...
She was 20 years old when Jack the Ripper was around..mind blown
ОтветитьEverything is changed! Surely not everything?
Butter's the same. I know that for a fact. But I believe bread is now
pre-sliced. But why, when you lose control over how thick it is?
If you live in the US, (or if you're just familiar with US history) to put it into perspective, imagine it like this: when she was born, Ulysses S. Grant was president. When she died, it was Jimmy Carter.
Ответитьwhat i find interesting about her is that she talks like how a normal person would talk into her time
ОтветитьI'm Millennial and already I feel the same.
Ответитьholy fuck a 108 years old and still speaking coherently that is actually fucking impressive
ОтветитьRemarkable woman and testimony. The stored knowledge, what her eyes have seen and the way she brings her recollections to life with such vivid expression : I could listen to her for hours! Thank you for this
ОтветитьHer accent is not at all like the English accents we hear nowadays. So vintage and classy sounding, she even R-r-r-r-r-rolls her R's sometimes. An awesome piece of history.
ОтветитьThe interviewer herself is now part of the elderly generation today. Let that fact sink in for a moment. A woman from two centuries ago speaking about her experiences is a different experience to reading off of a history textbooks.
ОтветитьThe latex masks just get better and better !
ОтветитьAge: 108
Skin: 60
I was 6 when this was recorded and I too can say everything has changed
TV's were big wooden boxes with no more than about 4 knobs on them and less than 3 channels broadcasting. Pong was the hottest thing in videogame technology and gathering and playing conkers was a serious business.
I would spend all my time riding my bike and going to friends houses. We would make go-karts out of planks and old pram wheels.
My first computer was the ZX Spectrum, on which I learned BASIC at the age of about 13. I went on to have a career in IT because of that but quit around 2006.
Aside from area code, our home phone number was 4 digits and there was no such concept as a mobile phone. When you were out, you were free!
Yep, I'm old but imagine what the World would be like if I make it to 108. I truly hope I don't and frankly, I shan't ... in some ways, I've already seen enough and I don't have much hope for the future.
This was a beautiful piece of History.
❤
ОтветитьIs she still alive?
