Bro what is the mic u r using please reply
ОтветитьIf a 6 in line engine is theoretically the best balanced one, but the V4 is the next best practical one. Doesn't that mean that a V6 should be the best engine for a motorbike?
ОтветитьNeed more WHORESPOWER!🤣
ОтветитьIt's extraordinary that I never considered how you determine an engine type by sound. Something so obvious.
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьThanks. You have no desire tell about maxiscooters evo story?
ОтветитьРоссия смотрит!!!!
ОтветитьI want a V6
ОтветитьAre you related to Charlie Sheen?
ОтветитьHow and why are these videos so good.
Ответитьhowever
ОтветитьDaammmmm❤
ОтветитьGreat video, easy learning for complicated subjects. Ryan you have great knowledge, but also great communication skills!
ОтветитьSeems someone needs to build a vr6 motorcycle engine !
OR- possibly get a bit crazy, and build a vr6 with two cranks! Geared together. Eith s 3"-3.25" bore with the cylinders about 2" spacing on center. Use twin cams. With roller followers each responsible for its 3cyl.s . A 3" bore with 2" stroke ,6cyl, =85cid. Use a single carb per 3 cylinders. Joining longruners in a group . And short runners in a group, with a runner extension to even the lengths. Definitely would like to hear it snd see it, with the bore spacing it can be slightly narrower than a 4cyl. At least just as wide maybe for big. Cruiser bikes a Vtwin vr12 two banks of vr6 drop to a 2.5" bore and 1.5"to 1.625"/1.75
stroke.2.5" x 1.5" x6 cyl, equal 44.18cid and the 1.75" stroke makes 51.5 cid, or 103 cid vvr12, if nothing else it would be simrthing to look at!! Very interesting..😮
Would be interested to see you review the new suzuki V-strom 800 RE or DE
ОтветитьYou are the best. Explanation is so easy to understand.❤❤❤🎉🎉
ОтветитьAs someone that’s owned Thumpers. Parallel twins, Vtwins , in-line 4’s and a V4. I think you nailed it! The VFR is the only bike I haven’t been able to get rid of. There’s just something I love about that motor…. The V4 is a great feeling motor and ride.
ОтветитьOutstanding presentation.!
ОтветитьNo Goldwing flat 6? That's a big omission.
ОтветитьNobody gonna talk about the 'whores power'?? Lol
ОтветитьAs an absolute mechanical amateur (read = total ignoramus), but motorcycle enthusiast, I find your videos to be intoxicatingly simple, straight-forward, and endlessly fascinating. Please keep uploading these for the great unwashed. I need to go figure out which end of the screwdriver to use now...
ОтветитьThen why does triumph make triple
ОтветитьWon't V6 be the idea design for motorcycle?
ОтветитьAt one point in time tractors had 10 liter, single cylinder 2 strokes
Ответитьlaughs in VFR
Ответитьyou forgot one of the pros of I3s.. they sound absolutely insane
ОтветитьRyan, you KNOW the Honda Valkyrie flat 6 is smooth as butter, powerful, and awe inspiring to look at. You KNOW that....
ОтветитьLove a thumper.
ОтветитьV4 in honda civic?
ОтветитьI'll take a triple any day. Love my FJ-09
ОтветитьNo mention of the Wankelmotor?
ОтветитьThere couldn’t be a better explanation
ОтветитьI ride honda activa 125, great engine
ОтветитьBueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~
Ответитьvery interesting, I again am reminded, that I know very little about ICEs. So what is mostly used today? Single, inline 2 and inline 4?
Ответитьwhat about rotary?
ОтветитьI’ve watched this video a dozen times and I believe he nails it at the end. The inline 6 is the point of diminishing return, thus leaving the inline 4 as the best configuration when all pros and cons are considered. This is probably why I like them so much. “However”… the type of motorcycle you choose is a personal preference. If I see you on the road, you’ll get a wave from me, no matter how many cylinders you’ve got.
ОтветитьReally great explanation of stuff I kind of knew…
Ответить“the boxers are dumb💀” 🤣🤣
ОтветитьOne of the few times I've disagreed with Ryan. Boxers aren't 'dumb'. The reason old people own them is because wisdom comes with age – and a boxer gives a nice amount of low down torque and engine braking without the issues inherent to a V-twin. You don't have to rev the ring out of them for maximum performance, and you get much better access to spark plugs and valves for servicing. There's a reason why BMW have been making them for a hundred years – and once you've owned one, everything else seems a bit silly.
ОтветитьYou missed out the Moto Guzzi V Twin 90 degree across the frame.
ОтветитьGreat video as always…. I’ve ridden everything and would agree that the V4 is the best engine, you get the revs of the inline 4 and the character of a V-twin…. In-line 4’s scream in a great way and great for sport bikes, prefer the V-twin on cruisers because of the torque, low revs, and engaging nature. Triples to me are the opposite of the V4 in that they don’t rev like an in-line 4 and don’t feel overly engaging either. Boxer motors are just blah, but I do like the GS1250. The 2-stroke dirt bike motor is also something special, holy crap I can’t believe so much power is coming out of that little engine….
ОтветитьI have a I-4, parallel twin, and boxer. All are great, do not have a favorite. But yes, the boxer is probably the 'weakest' of the set. However, at speed, it's incredibly smooth, gobs of usable torque, easy to work on and if you get 2 or more right next to each other, they sound like airplanes. 😁
ОтветитьMissed out on the cross plane explanation
ОтветитьSays he's going to cover every motorcycle engine type, doesn't even mention 2 strokes exist. 🤔🙄
ОтветитьI have a YAMAHA 400 parallel twin (leaned ahead 10° or so) that is a 180° firing order, but both pistons travel up and down together. It has two carburetors, but only one coil pack with two plug wires. It has a ten thousand RPM redline. It’s a 1982 that still runs. They’re cheating with a balance shaft, but it’s still pretty decent in light of its weirdness.
As to the V4’s, I have to agree with your assessment. I’ve ridden a V65 Magna, which was a totally entertaining bike that you had to really hang onto at full acceleration. The Yamaha V-Max was a lot alike, and it’s forebear the Venture was Gold Wing comfortable with a little more GO. These weren’t really affordable bikes though, hence the lowly Seca 400 and Seca 750 that I ended up with.🤷🏻♂️
Ok, now I am really curious of two things:
- what's the sound of BMW 1600 inline I6 with a full exhaust kit?
- why we haven't heard of someone trying a V6?
Production value and the simple yet clear explanation here is top notch. Very impressive video
