Mine is just showing a black screen, but it is definitely the HDMI cable, i have A lot of the old ones, so i will have to buy a HDMI 2,0 or 2,1

I literally just got a ps5 today, it is hooked up and plugged in, and there is no signal registering on the tv. I unplugged and replugged everything back in, I tried different HDMI ports as well as a completely different HDMI cable. Both HDMI ports work based on two other items that properly function when plugged into either one, and the second HDMI cable I tried is also known to work via the same info regarding the ports. The ps5 is definitely plugged in since it turns on and goes from blue to white but absolutely nothing is registering. I tried googling it and the only other thing I can see that might be an issue is the tv software not being up to date except that I have no idea how to check that or attempt to update it. It's an older tv, Apex, but works perfectly fine being hooked up to my desktop computer (skytech) and my Amazon Firestick. This is literally a brand new ps5, what the heck am I supposed to do.

Alright so that is strange I had fixed my PlayStation 5 not connecting to my display issue by doing power cycles but I had this again today and I had to actually change the cable so I attached the supplied original HDMI cable that was included with my ps5 and it work thanks for this suggestion

I know it's been a while and this might not get seen, but I had the same problem many of you are having not even being able to get into safe mode. I did three things. First I entered safe mode through an older seperate tv. Then i followed what he said, and set the resolution to automatic and set the HDCP 1.4 only. Now the next part is key. I'm usually the kind of guy that refuses to believe it's a hardware issue, but I was desperate. He was correct in saying removing all power from both the tv and ps5 will fix the issue, but it has to be done directly after entering safe mode and switching the settings on another tv. Unplug it all and switch back to the main tv. Wait a few minutes then reconnect everything, turn on the tv first, then the ps5. It should work afterwards. The important thing to remember is not to attempt using the main tv until everything is diconnected from both devices (yes this includes power, HDMI, ethernet cable, etc.). Hopefully this helps some of you, and if not just hang in there you will figure something out.

Ive tried all of this, and on 2 different tvs. It wont even bring up safe mode. Just says no signal, and a black screen. HELP!!!

Well... I don't know what to say... But mine had no power for 2 days.... I did everything from using a different power cord to move it to another room... And nothing happened

After 2 days I thought I should give it another try and guess what... Power came on but there was no picture at all....

I just don't know why we never had such problems with ps3 and 4
