Maybe a bit of caution feeling the crank pulley while working the starter, just in case it frees up, and then frees up your fingers

Thanks Tony That's just what I thought of doing, including the PB blaster because HD didn't have any sea foam penetrating oil. I'll let you know.

How in the hell are your walls so white? When I work with old engines sometimes they blow out oil even vapors making my walls slightly dark but yours are so clean. Are your walls shower material?

How do you get the pb blaster out of the cylinder once it’s broke free ? Or is it not harmful to leave in In ?

Air can get in from any open valve and cause rust . A few engine storage tricks: Slowly add some oil or ATF to the intake and hand turn the crank until you make 2 full rotations this will coat the valve surfaces with oil and prevent an open valve from rusting. NO AIR = NO RUST Plug and seal all air paths into the engine, intake, ex sys, AIR or other emissions. PCV systems, vented valve covers, vacuum lines, etc. Unload the valve springs by releasing the lash adjusters completely this helps the keep all the springs at the same tension and cuts off air flow to the top parts of all cylinders.

You should have tested the transom for rot. Lots of time and money to restore rotten transom and stringers. If any water was sitting in the bottom of the boat and in the bilge any hardware penetration would leak water into the fiberglass coated plywood and start rotting away. Best practice is to determine the transom, stringers and floor conditions. Before mechanical repairs

My heater hose busted loose , oil cap shot off and antifreeze sprayed out and antifreeze went into the oil. My engine is siezed up. It's a 3.0 engine in my beloved 2005 Mazda 6 S. Can it be given couple oil changes with filter change each time , new spark plugs, and maybe unfroze? The shop did not say the head cracked . So I'm not sure. Help I'm a 63 widowed woman trying to save my car

Thanks for the info💯🙏🏽I have a Quick question. I have HEAVY White smoke, sweet smelling Coming out The Exhaust of my “2011 Jaguar XJL 5.0” so I poured blue devil into my coolant reservoir (I didn’t drain my coolant before adding Blue devil, also had a sealed Radiator) Anyways I closed the coolant cap as soon as I poured the in & drove for about 30 mins, Next day later? My car just makes a 1 Click noise!! &Jump the car nothing Same Loud “1 CLICK”😢 What may have happened? (Also Car oil burns in under 3 days, and coolant reservoir becomes underfilled in 1 day) Also do you think it was my upper intake manifold? Blue devil May have sealed my cylinders stuck? How do I fix?!? Plz help?🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽😭

I got really lucky , Had a 96 Corvette convertible with a frozen engine that I bought for $500 in absolutely amazing condition with only 60k miles , took out the spark plugs & pumped diesel fuel into thecylinders with a transfer pump, Let it sit for 1 week & fully charged the battery, It slowly Unseized itself everytime I tried to start it I saw the drive belt move a tiny bit , After about 10 times it finally broke loose completely & now the car is back running, Sold the car a month later on eBay for $8,600

Hi, I've watched both of your videos on a stuck engine, and I think I probably have one, but I am wondering if there are any other things that would make an engine fail to budge that we should be looking at? We pulled all the glow plugs (its a diesel), and pumped it full of marvel mystery, and it has had a week or so to soak, but we still can't break it loose. It ran 3 years ago, and it has only a bit over full oil (she burned it, so I'd imagine that was intentional) and I got shiny silver on the old glow plugs. I know that the clutch is shot, would that make a difference? It's stuck in the open(?) position (all the driveshafts turn when we pull it). Explain it like I'm a woman who knows very little about mechanics (because I am). 😆 Anyway, if you see this and have a suggestion, thanks!

I used this type of technique on my dads 455 olds motor with great results. I had no idea where the motor was stuck. I was worried it was in a cam or crank journal but it makes more sense now it must have been the cylinder walls. I wasn’t expecting much but after plenty of careful back and forth movements (I treated it like a was cutting a thread) it finally fired up with no major issues

Thanks Tony, I've got a 1975 Chevy square-body step-side pickup that's been in my garage for 26 years. The front clip had been removed making access to the engine easier. The truck ran when I parked it. I put a socket and breaker bar on the harmonic balancer and it laughed at me. Wow, I thought of the worst case scenario (pull heads and yank block). I saw your video and guess what? Took about 8 hours of small shots of Blaster penetrant and little by little movement of the crank and she broke free. No damage and she's turning a full revolution smoothly. Great video and many thanks. Keep up the good work!

I would pull the outdrive and try fire it up. That way, you can replace the gasket and seals that are probably pretty well toast at the outdrive, then while you’re at it, split the outdrive case and replace that old decrepit water pump. I guarantee that thing will break apart and send rubber chunks through the cooling system since it’s been sitting so long

Instead of the screwdriver in the damper, put a socket on the alternator nut. Use a breaker bar to wiggle it back and forth
Same concept, just more convenient

Rubber tipped air nozzle in a spark plug hole:
Thought it would push ATF past the rings, instead it spun the motor.
