There is one limited-time variation not mentioned here: the Holiday/Winter Oreo, which until recently were sold during the Christmas/holiday season. They featured either red or green filling and the cookies themselves had designs like snowflakes, ice skates, and snowmen instead of the regular Oreo patterns

Growing up my Dad worked for Nabisco so Oreos were number one in our house. He would always bring home all the new items that didn't get to the supermarkets for us to try first. Sometimes I would bring a new item to school for lunch and all the kids asked me to try the new cookies or crackers. Fun memories back then.

Delta creams still taste better, and they're made here, not imported.

At the former site of the Natiinal Buiscit Company in NYC, which is now the Chelsea Market , I saw displays of Nabisco collectibles, memorabilia, history, and one of the displays stated the "RE" is scooped out of the middle of the word cream, and squished between two "O"'s as the biscuits.
Also, the elevated train line ( that is now The Highline ) which went in-and-through the back of the Nabisco building by10th Ave. was built elevated so it could park train cars directly over the huge Nabisco mixers - and dump flower directly into the giant mixers... ^^

my parents bought a bunch of hydrox and put them in my lunch. it sounded like something you'd find under the sink. they already struck out before they even got to my mouth

My son and I got a bag of hydrox from eBay once. They were aiight but I’m pretty sure they were not the old school formula.

One of the reasons Oreo has stayed on top is they keep doing new varieties. It’s the same way Mountain Dew stays fresh.

Food Theory did an episode on Oreos. The way Hydrox was winning was they were kosher. Oreo's recipe used lard. Oreo tired of the competition killed Hydrox by going kosher.
