All neat tricks but most of these are counting that you already have a lot of what you need already.

Boiling water to drink is priority number one and for that you need a container such as a water bottle or a can. You can boil water in a plastic bottle if done right but the taste is horrible.

The best survival tool is your brain. Use it to be prepared to start with. However if you can't avoid being stuck without help, have something for cutting and something for fire. If you can start and maintain a fire you can usually forge whatever else you need, keep warm and cook food.
