The rent in Dubai is not 10 grand per month unless you want to live right below Burj Khalifa. I live in Dubai and Barsha heights which is an extremely nice area has a rent of 120k per year for two bedroom apartment, that's roughly $32k per year.

While driving on the road, I was talking to my wife about the lack of air conditioning, the windows were closed but it was still not cold enough inside the car, then the bus carrying the construction workers passed us and I was very upset and ashamed of myself. , the people in the bus look like they are dying from the heat, no one is smiling, all the windows of the bus are open so the air conditioner is not working or there is no air conditioning, this is an embarrassing system... UEA trying to make everything flashy, trying to make everything perfect, the ministry of labor or the royal unaware of it or It is very sad that it is careless or does not bring a certain standard...

That’s not extremely expensive rent, well compared to the US. $20k/year /12 months = $1,666/m in rent. Same here where I’m at, and don’t even get me taking about NY/LA prices

What your saying about your money being safe if your bank fails is well not true. If the banks all fail hence the state too your screwed the state won't have money to pay everyone out. That's all countries.

Dubai is the perfect example that you can't buy taste, culture or a soul. It's a pure metaphore of pointless materialism. It's just a flat desert with a glorified concrete jungle without real nature, no mountains, no lakes, no forests, nothing. Only pointless 20 lanes roads that you can never cross as a pedestrian or bike. And those soulless car-centric suburbs without any public transportation. It's a reallife Elysium full with arrogant rich people just to show off in this materialistic utopia. And let's not talk about the migrant workers and maids that many keeping as slaves. All those immigrants are to serve as a RESIDENT, never ever all those people will get CITIZENSHIP one day, this is what Dubai is. Never can you obtain UAE citizenship, when you're out of money = exit, when you grow old = exit, when you're sick or disabled to work = exit. Therefore Dubai cannot ever build a social coherent society, it will remain souless forever.

I found the people there extremely rude. Even at the airport they are so rude. This is in TOTAL contrast to Oman where everyone is lovely. I'll never give Emirates my money again.
