ОтветитьHaven't fully built my seatruck. I have the ability to do fabricator and storage modules. I have half the scans for the rest.
So far, I can't see why I should be bothered. It's slow and cant store worth crap. If the storage were massively upgraded, I'd concider it. Otherwise, I'll stick to moving my stationary base with multiple trips in a bare bones truck. At least it's fast.
I miss the Cyclops. Could fit in everything you need for a fully functioning base. Even enough storage for mats to build a fully furnished temporary base to charge the batteries/explore out of. Seatruck, while an alright idea, is a swing and a miss.
The sea truck is the worst part of the game hands down...

ОтветитьThe cyclops was clearly superior. It was a mobile multi purpose room. This sea truck never needed so many modules. Just give it an empty module that you can build stuff in and it could be almost as good. I remember it even had a plant pot module in early access but the developers dumped that idea. The sea truck only really needs to be a prawn suit transport.
ОтветитьI'd like to see the seatruck able to do more at once. I used the cyclops like a movable base, and would have liked to see something similar, but it can't do as much at the same time. I'd like to see the fabricator and storage module combined into one storage/fabricator module with a storage upgrade slot. I'd like to see the sleeper cab be able to grow food as well. What would really make the seatruck different and maybe even better than the cyclops would be a bioreactor added to the aquarium. If this thing could have basically unlimited power (and maybe a battery charging station) that would be something the cyclops couldn't do.
Alternately, it would be cool if you could essentially create a base that you detach from the seatruck in an area, and have it still function. Perhaps even build upon the initial set up.
Idk why they would get rid of the internal customization from the cyclops. That was maybe the most unique thing I’ve seen in any game and I loved it. More than any of my bases, the cyclops felt like a home

ОтветитьI think the Seatruck is a neat idea. But I do miss the feel of having the feel of a truly mobile base with the Cyclops. Perhaps if the Storage was like mentioned with the 4 standing lockers instead, and if we had a module that had like two grow beds (that could poke out and make the Seatruck look like it had wings) or something. Just feels like it is missing something to make it complete.

Ответитьi get why they didnt put the cyclops since the map is small and the path you use to access biomes usually arent big enough for a cyclops but i really hate the sea truck.
1. i miss the internal customization from cyclops but the seatruck wasnt supposed to be like that so ok i can live with it
2. MY biggest problem is what the hell are they doing with the seatruck features. The modules provided are supposed to make the seatruck as a movable base of long travel vehicle with the whole docking station, then why the hell didnt they add features like the cyclops like the different cameras, sonar and stuff, you know how many times i thought i parked my seatruck straight only to leave the drivers seat and realize it was completly upward sloped, how am i supposed to use it as a base and access the modules like rooms when i cant even park it completly horizontal
and since the map is small just having one more module i keep bumping everywhere atleast they should've put a sonar and some way to charge on the fly
3. And the storage, if youre gonna give a completly different room just for storage that does a massive hit to your speed atleast make it worthwhile i go out with my prawn and seatruck storage module for bit of a mining and i cant even explore well before the storage is completly filled and i have no options but to slowlyyyyyy head back to the base. The food and water consumption is incredibly fast so i need to carry water with me in those storage if im exploring and extra batteries and powercells as well if im using the perimeter defence too much so i have even less space left
Below Zero is fun... It's chill... Definitely nowhere near the same vibe as the first game though. Subnautica had a feeling of desolate mystery, a sense of urgency from Kharaa, an intense feeling of isolation. Below Zero has none of these.
ОтветитьI miss the Seamoth. I wish we had both, with the Seatruck being more capable but slower and clumsier and the Seamoth being faster, more maneuverable, but less capable.

ОтветитьI found the cyclops mostly pointless in the first game. Slow, eats power cells like crazy. Only time I used it was to park in the lava area. At first I didnt want the seatruck because I missed the seamoth. But after awhile I found the seatruck to be better than both the seamoth and cyclops. On the seatruck, the defense system can kill monsters, you can ram things to death, can carry the PRAWN around. Also adding the horse power upgrade doesn't make it slow anymore.

ОтветитьI wish all three were available. The seatruck has its benefits, I think the main thing being just how small it is compared to the cyclops, but the customizability of the cyclosp was great.
ОтветитьI didn't really liked the seatruck until I heard that the sleeper module have a jukebox. Then I renamed the MF to PARTYBUS and went everywhere blasting. It was so much fun.

ОтветитьI don’t know if they changed the sleeper module but it isn’t just cosmetic. It’s arguably the most important module. I die a ton I’m Subnautica Below Zero and I found as long as I have the sleeper module attached and I’m exploring with my sea truck, I always respawn nearby in my sleeper module.
ОтветитьI get the most use out of the Seatruck as a ... well a truck, using it on resource gathering/mining expeditions and also carrying materials for building additional bases/outposts.

ОтветитьI have a sort of bug that if incline my seatruck to the top or the bottom he will stuck and I will be forced to pick up the batteries what to the seatruck to replace imself to its original position and reload the batteries
ОтветитьI love the sea moth but I would actually rather have that a bit later in the game than have seamoth as early as you get it.. maybe it’s Becuase I just got destroyed by a reaper the first time I got it or something but I just really don’t like it much anymore… but they should have more vehicles maybe even a copy paste of Cyclopes but harder to get? Idk something like that..
ОтветитьI’m so disappointed about the removal of the cyclops that I don’t plan to buy the game. This thing is neat as an add on, but as a replacement to the Seamoth and cyclops it’s the worst of both worlds. Huge bummer.

ОтветитьAfter lamenting the loss of the cyclops, I thought of something. The original kept its originality even after the Sub Zero release. If they gave us a cyclops in this, or something maybe slightly improved, there would be NO reason to replay the original.
I still think there should be a third vehicle in Sub Zero though. Feels like it's missing something without something that can somewhat cope with leviathan attacks. Plus, it was fun running around after barely escaping a conflict, repairing your ship and putting out fires before it blew up...
Having just played through both games, I can say that I loved the Seamoth, hated the Cyclops (the first time anyway, since I didn't know how to use it), and thought the Seatruck was the best fusion of the two. It has the storage of 4.5 storage upgrades with just one module, and if you need to fit into tight spaces, you can just detach the modules. You have most of the maneuverability of the Seamoth, and can take a Prawn suit in order to take advantage of those real rich ore deposits. Only thing it is really lacking is a way to generate power

ОтветитьShame that most of the modules for the Seatruck are completely useless, at least from a gameplay perspective. They should have made it so that the fish can breed in the aquariums, giving you an unlimited food source on board the Seatruck.
ОтветитьThe Seatruck would have been perfect if it just had a multipurpose module where you could build things in. Maybe restrict grow beds if those are too op (plus the dirt would probably be spilling out with how it drives) but having more customizability within modules and more usable storage would be nice.
