ОтветитьR.I.P Mick Green, a true hero.
ОтветитьRIP Mick, a great loss.
ОтветитьThanks Mick and The Pirates for your gigs in Finland thru years. Your gig in Kuusrock 1978 (Oulu, Finland) was one of the best rockshow I've ever seen!!!! I was 15 then and I'll never forget that raw rockin' action on stage!!! *****R.I.P. Mick***** We'll miss you!!!
ОтветитьI wasn't there,....but i wish i was!, God bless you Mick Green, Truely stunning guitar playing as always, & a powerhouse performance from the lads. We are going to miss you alright.
ОтветитьDingwalls Camden Lock March 1978. Thanks for the memory & if there's a rock & roll heaven the Guvnor just arrived.
ОтветитьBest live trio ever. Mick Green is up there in the pantheon of great guitarists. In the top 10 deffo. We'll miss you Sir.
ОтветитьThis was The Pirates at one of their peaks, for much of the latter part of the seventies they were the best live band in Britain.Kid's,you should have been there.
ОтветитьYeah, this is GREAT, but I don't think it's from Reading. I was there and I'm pretty sure they played in daylight...
ОтветитьMick Green..the complete guitar player.
ОтветитьShitkickin'!
Ответить@marynightshade And Better......
ОтветитьFantastic!
ОтветитьThis WAS Reading 78. They were the last band before the Jam headlined Friday night. The Jam looked a bit silly after this balls-out rock n roll from guys old enough to be their dads!!!
ОтветитьDefinitely not from Reading 78
ОтветитьI was there, and I remember The Pirates, they went down well.
ОтветитьВот это рубилово!
ОтветитьBrillant live band; great version. Impressive Mick!
ОтветитьIf anyone knows where I can get a DVD of The Pirates set at Reading, please LMK
ОтветитьI watched this live ( Reading 1978), I'd gone to see The Jam, these guys blew everyone away and The Jam just couldn't follow their performance ..
ОтветитьMick Green..a dandy pirate before Adam Ant thought of it. You got to be a legendary guitarist to pull of that look and he was.
Ответитьyou can hear the stray cats and motorhead and x
ОтветитьThe Pirates , Motörhead and dr.Feelgood. The best rock'n roll bands ever.
ОтветитьSo much energy!
ОтветитьMick Green!
ОтветитьAs Wilko says down up down up
ОтветитьNot Reading - it was daylight when they were on. God rest Mick Green.
ОтветитьBack in 78, we hadn’t even heard of these guys in the states. This was the sound I was aching for then, and still today, 41 years later it’s still fresh to me! Thank you for posting
ОтветитьСильнейшие рокеры
ОтветитьThe BBC is screening re-runs from that Glastonbury effort this weekend.
Adele, Amy Winehouse, Chemical Brothers, Beyonce, David Bowie, Mumford and Sons, Nile Rogers, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran.....
The Pirates. Tavastia. Helsinki. Finland. 1978. I was there.
ОтветитьGreat smashing piece .... people who played with heart and balls !!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWhat a phenomenal band! They were great in the sixties, but they should have been utterly massive in the seventies!!
ОтветитьHeads down, no nonsense nonsense!
ОтветитьFantastic live band… Mick Green’s simultaneous lead + rhythm playing a wonder to behold! ❤
ОтветитьAn unexpected highlight of the festival for me. They rocked.
