Thanks Mick and The Pirates for your gigs in Finland thru years. Your gig in Kuusrock 1978 (Oulu, Finland) was one of the best rockshow I've ever seen!!!! I was 15 then and I'll never forget that raw rockin' action on stage!!! *****R.I.P. Mick***** We'll miss you!!!

Yeah, this is GREAT, but I don't think it's from Reading. I was there and I'm pretty sure they played in daylight...

This WAS Reading 78. They were the last band before the Jam headlined Friday night. The Jam looked a bit silly after this balls-out rock n roll from guys old enough to be their dads!!!

I watched this live ( Reading 1978), I'd gone to see The Jam, these guys blew everyone away and The Jam just couldn't follow their performance ..

Mick Green..a dandy pirate before Adam Ant thought of it. You got to be a legendary guitarist to pull of that look and he was.

Back in 78, we hadn’t even heard of these guys in the states. This was the sound I was aching for then, and still today, 41 years later it’s still fresh to me! Thank you for posting
