I mis being a kid and waking up early before everyone else to be able to have the TV to myself and play SNES. I live on my own in my own apartment now for 10 years and I can do whatever I want whenever I want but I still miss being a kid and not worrying about anything except how I was going to get passed the part of a game I was stuck on.

Early 90's Hal Jordan would be such a strange game considering this is just before a ton of new GLs were created.

I honestly don't know if anything really surpasses the SNES. Sure getting these classics remade or ported to later systems is great, but all it reinforces is how 'Super' the SNES really was.

The whole development story of green lantern seems like hell, always having to completely change the already finished product again and again.

When I was a Kid my big brother rent in the blockbuster Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle, I really loved that game because I was watching the anime on TV, later I play it on a emulator, technically is a bad game but I still enjoy it.

I liked the immediate mention of “bit-crushed samples of actual instruments” re: the SNES music synth. A lot of people don't understand this fundamental difference between the sound capabilities of SNES and the Megadrive/Genesis. SEGA fanboys like to say that SNES music sounds 'muffled'. Well yes it does, but it's for a reason: Wavetable synthesis demands far more memory than FM synthesis and applying a low pass filter is a good way of minimizing sample memory, since high frequency content doesn't need to be stored and reproduced!

There's nothing like the SNES and not being able to save by default

The snes was so good. So many legendary games. I remember saving up every penny i got to get this thing on launch day. I was 14 or so. Just barely had enough, thank goodness it came with one of the greatest game ls ever, mario world.

SNES is to me the most legendary platform in terms of game development and represents a big shift in the depth of game dynamics, controls, graphics, music, over NES ( though not as drastic a leap from uper to 64 in terms of only graphical ability... While one could argue that Super had more legendary titles than 64 did)

Chrono trigger, FF6 , Super Metroid , link to the past, Mario world, DK, Super Castlevania, Turtles, super star wars, mega man, .... The SNES versions are all so much better than their NES versions, are actually beatable but challenging ( not insanly dificult like most of their nes versions, cough cough Zelda 2 ) .

I'll admit that 64 did Starfox ALOT better. Overall Super has more memorable games even than later platforms.

The SNES have still the best library of games. So much Classics, no other console has so much memorable games. If i only count the games i like from the SNES, i count over 70 Games. No other console can beat this. Still today in love with the SNES. The Graphics, the Music, the Atmosphere... SNES is more than legendary.

DC screwing with a game and demanding changes that couldn't possibly be implemented in a reasonable timeframe? Nooo, they'd never do that!

I don't care what anyone says, they are without a doubt at least half-responsible for Superman 64 being such a boring pile of shit. Sometimes you need to butt your nose out of a developer's business and let them do their thing.

The Snes just cant be beat.
No console has given me so much enjoyment and good times.
The games , the music, the graphics !
Everything holds up even to this day.
Truly a master piece and an absolute work of art.

I don't understand the whole "racist" thing. The character was made to look like a black person. It's a fact that they have thicker, curly hair and their lips are bigger than Caucasian people. Are Caucasian characters straight hair and smaller lips changed? And because they wanted to avoid "racism", black characters are no longer represented.

I miss these games.. such a simple time back then it seems..
