The term "hated" is overkill.....probably chosen to entice more viewers.
ОтветитьYou are going to pay real GOLD for one of those coups.
ОтветитьDopey list.
Really....
C4LIFE
Ответитьcan't see out the back window ? Italian road racing rule #1,,, what's behind you is not important.
ОтветитьSeriously, the split window Corvette is a sought after collectors car now with prices that are in the stratosphere.
ОтветитьCross fire was an engineering disaster.
Cmon now, No One ever hated a 63 coupe. It was a mind blower when it came out. It was also Motor Trends car of the year.
Cross Fire took me awhile to learn to tune them, and of course all the low horsepower cars would certainly have been able to be upgraded with factory parts, and I don't care about anything else, you surely can give me a Corvette of any year and style engine doesn't matter, any color also will be accepted!!!😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьWhy does he keep saying “corvette”. We know what car you are talking about, Jeez.
ОтветитьI will take all the Blue Flames you have.
ОтветитьI was 10 in 1970, I loved the 68 and the stingrays of early 70's, the worse was that 90's, just plain body, boring, but they've done an amazing job lately. Great cars thanks
ОтветитьOpinions are like belly buttons: everybody has 1, & they're all full of lint. (This seems like a family You Tube channel, so I'll leave it at that.) Here are my 5 votes:
1. "C8": Mid engine sacrilege. Technically, every Corvette since the C2 has been mid engined. Putting the motor behind the driver adds unnecessary complexity. Lower center of gravity can be the trade-off, I suppose. But massively more egregious is that all "C8"s are missing a pedal.
2. 1982: also because they're all missing a pedal, plus, because of their emphasis of luxury over performance, they were the epitome of bloatware of the C3 era.
3. 1975 165 HP totally fits here.
4. Any Corvette with a 305. Those are the 307s of the 1980s. They belong in Malibu & BOP station wagons.
5. If I have to pick 1 more, the 1984 MY, because of its unreliable electronics. Not a huge fan of the C4 styling anyway.
I do not agree with the SWC vote. If anything, the SWC is the quintessential Corvette. However, I do acknowledge that having to look from behind while driving it would not be a pleasant task, to say the least.
I also question voting for any Corvette with the Stovebolt. Your only other choice those days was a V8, sure, but most of those were flatheads, which stink. I can't justify putting them in the Bottom 5 just for lack of 30 HP. Plus, straight 6 engines are fundamentally balanced, & have unbeatable low-end torque, at least for gasoline engines (not that your Corvette needs to haul a trailer).
Look at the sleek beauty of the 63 Corvette .... now look at what we have today - The Cube & the Xion! Egads!!!!
ОтветитьIt still was a pushrod dinosaur. Japanese and Europeans unbanded pushrod engines back in nighteen forties FOR A REASON!
ОтветитьIn 1975 you might as well replace the engine with a 450 hp big block, from 5 years previous.
ОтветитьThe body style of those early Corvettes makes my heart pump peanut butter.
ОтветитьWhat planet are you from in the early 50's most Euro sports were 4 cylinder and it was the Euro MG Type car the 'Vette was trying to compete with
ОтветитьThe 63 spit window is up there with the 56 Mercedes 300 SL gullwing, The Shelby Cobra and the 57 BMW 507 as far as beauty and design are concerned.
ОтветитьPizza without cheese - you mean a Marinara? The first pizza? (The cheese was added later)
ОтветитьThe '63 was my favorite. I haven't liked ANY Corvette since. BTW the term is "Bad rep" not "Bad rap."
ОтветитьAlmost hard to fathom that my 2014 Kia Sportage LX has more horsepower than the 1975 Corvette with the base engine.
ОтветитьIt’s a nice car but it’s got the image of being an old man car.
ОтветитьWell as a Corvette lover Ve owned 9 Co rvettes in my life.
5 were 1967 427 435 hp models of which one was a convertible.
One was a 1963 fuelie coupe.
I never noticed a giant blind spot but what was behind was not importan..
Another was a 1965 fuelie roadster.
I preferred the 1965 due to the better stronger Muncie trans and the 4 wheel dsc brakes .
So fat as Ive observed Ive never noticed that ANYONE hated ANY 1963 coupe.
I vever liked the C3 CORVETTES.
PERIOD.. my dis like increased begining in 1972 when they were deted
At tat poimy 65 fuee cokd r rings aod anyf the C3s thereafer.
I owned a 1995 C4.
It wss down on power till I installed a 425hp 383 Chev crate engine and made a few suspension mods by Guldstrand.
Lovely vheap track csr super sleeper back in theearly 90s.
And a C5 with a Katech 427 engine and full Gulstrand suspendion mods.
Best handling most rigid and best stopping car I had had to date . I built the car in 2008.
If y'all hate those cars so much then give them to me I'll be more then happy to take them off your hands
ОтветитьThe 63 is the most desirable car better looking than the 2023
ОтветитьI found it ironic that the 74 Vette was lemon yellow.
ОтветитьI don't agree with this at all.dads mist favorite vert is one they say is most hated..alsi the cross fire injection..i rebuilt a Camaro with cross fire injection..it had dished piston and like all 305 factory engines the cam was retarded for emissions..flat top piston and different cam woke it up..bet the corvette cross fire was same1974 is my favorite corvette.i would take a 75 any day of the week and twice on sunday
ОтветитьI love split windows
ОтветитьYeah i'll grant you the 53 only had a 6 cylinder engine but it looked great by Harley Earl, for me one of the best car designers ever. It was a test bed and all legends start somewhere
ОтветитьAs a Brit Petrolhead i absolutely love the look of the 63 Sting Ray. I think its the greatest looking car ever built.
ОтветитьWhen your most iconic Holy Grail model year is one the the Most Hated...you've made some pretty well liked cars
ОтветитьDumb executive was the only one that didn't like it. People loved it (customers).
Ответить63-67 are the best. What they make now is not a corvette
Ответить205 hp. Ha ha ha ha!! Suckers!!! How much did you pay to get whupped by my poor little cheap, 65 Mustang. I don’t care about rear blind spots. The beauty was wort it. I love 1963 splits! My high school coach in 1971 drove one to school. It lost a race to a student owned Plymouth Super-bird and a student owned Dodge Daytona. Shout out to the Dixie Hollis Rebels, and Jimmy Leavitt, our QB.
ОтветитьI loves split window.. american also rebuild this splitwindow on riviera .. 》 bcz thats american🇺🇸heritages. Pls stop making fakevlog like this. Tottally missleaded and fool
Ответить74 should have a seem down the rear bumper
ОтветитьClick bait
ОтветитьEveryone loves the 1963 Vette! The creator of this report badly/falsely produced this report in regard to the split window 1963 vette! It is one of the most loved versions..................
ОтветитьI guess you never really talked to 'Vette owners about their likes and dilikes. This video is .... well let's just say dead wrong
ОтветитьI own a 1985 Vette & 97. Both are jaw-dropping. The 85 just watch taking off from a stop sign. Don't know which way the rear will go. The 1997, just goes.
ОтветитьI worked in a corvette body shop from 65-69. We cut several rear window supports on 63 split windows. It was a popular conversion and Ecklers had a conversion kit.
ОтветитьWho in the world hates the blue flame vettes? Next to the 63 split window, the original body vettes are probably the most sought out.
ОтветитьMy first car was a 1975 Chevrolet Monza Towne Coupe with 262 c.i. V8 fed by a 2 bbl carburetor making 110 hp. This is the weakest V8 every made by Chevrolet so the 75 Vette had some ignoble company.
Ответитьwho actually hates the 63 coupe never met anyone
ОтветитьI realize this is an Old Post but I do have a love-hate relationship with the 63 Corvette, I hate that I can't afford one, but I absolutely love the car.
The split window really stands out and makes the car unique.
The fact that I was born in 1963 might have something to do with it to.
To even mention the '63 split window as a possibility for an object of derision shows us how stupid this author is... Shame on him.
ОтветитьOwned a 1953 1/2 thry called it in 1963 at 17 after joining the Air Force, it was the only American made hot rod at that time I could afford. The tail lights, covered headlamps, round truck was way out thire even in 1963. The split window is worth more thrn two of the new ones, it had crazy effect on folks who loved street fast Heavy Chevy, do not think who made this list ever even road raced in one. Give these smart asses a D- lack of class:)
ОтветитьHaving the 63 split window Corvette coupe in your top five hated Corvettes is ridiculous. Did some people not like this that is possible but they’re morons. Trying to defend a Chevy big block in 74 with less horsepower than I make after eating Mexican food is foolish. You guys usually do a lot better at making a point than this Visio this was pretty weak.
