😄 Hahahah. A sudden expansion in a liquid medium? This man is clearly not an actual sonar tech. Ask one. That is not what underwater explosions sound like.
In fact, come to think of it, I've never heard an explosion that sounded like that above water, either. Above water or below, an explosion is a sudden thing, but liquid is noncompressible, so under water, its effects travel a lot further, a lot faster.
No, more likely, a marine animal has given off a low-level, echolocation emanation to help it navigate, or perhaps it's just eaten something that it's having a little trouble digesting. 🤷
