This gave me a great idea! On old toilet would be perfect
ОтветитьCan I ask where you got that plastic grid stuff? I'm struggling to find some
ОтветитьExcellent pond
ОтветитьI really wanted to see your video through. I am working towards a water feature in my future. I feel like you didn’t show enough detail for a beginner. I’m not intending to be disrespectful. I just don’t have a clear understanding of your techniques and rationale.
ОтветитьLove the video man! I'm making my own at the moment. Any tips for using the holesaw on the pot? I tried it earlier and it split the the plastic.
ОтветитьWhere do you get the inline clean out isolating valves from for the bog filter and what size are they as you are using 1” pond tubing?
ОтветитьA hair dryer or heat gun for a few secs will make putting the hoses on much easier.
ОтветитьHey bro,
Have you had any problems with bog filters? I hear they're pretty foolproof, but I'm trying to find a resource that goes over common bog filter problems.
Nice job
ОтветитьGreat video! I built a bog filter like yours for a small pond that's roughly 4' x 3' any idea as to why the water is green?
ОтветитьHow does the air stone connect into the system?
Ответить😮 dog in background
ОтветитьI have a similar pond. I bought a solar "airstone" pump and connected a sponge filter. For plants ive got a few baskets with angel plants and ornamental onion, and hyacinth and water lettuce floating.
ОтветитьNice looking water feature, but that looks like a lot of weight on that bottom pot. Have you had any issues?
Ответить🤔 What practical purpose does it serve to put the filter in the middle of the pond and not on the bottom where it would be more efficient and effective?
Ответитьthis inspired me to do my own i have created a pond with 55 gallon food barrel. I used 2 5 gallon buckets one on each side. it has been going good but my question is how much water should i expect the plants to use. I seem to loosing about 6 to 7 inches a week. i cant find a leak any where. do you plants take much water from the pond
ОтветитьExcellent videos... Full of information and very inspiring. Great job best style videos 📹.
Q: How do you stop the Pond section from overflowing when it rains 🌧 ?
WTF do you live in the Antarctic? It gets way colder here in Pennsylvania and I don't use any of that underneath my ponds.
ОтветитьHello again!! I know you're in the UK but do you have any idea where I could find this size planter here in the US? and what price range I'm I looking at? If the size planter you have can't be purchased here. What other size would you recommend as I wish to keep guppies in it. Thanks in advance...
Ответитьwhat was the dimensions of your planter?
ОтветитьGreat video! I would like to ask, where do you keep the electric sockets? Do you keep them outside? If yes, couod you tell me how do you manage to keep them water/moisture tight? Many thanks in advance!
ОтветитьHi would it be possible to have a complete list of all components used as I would like to make the exact same thing
ОтветитьHi, I’m worried that my big will overflow. How do I prevent this?
ОтветитьNice design and a very complete video on the topic.
ОтветитьIs there another name for the tank connectors? I’m having trouble finding them
ОтветитьI have a closed filter system with foam I got at a home store that runs my waterfall. Can I add a seperate bog filter into the pond?
ОтветитьWhere and how much was that large pot
ОтветитьDo you have links to all the parts you used? Or names? Thanks
ОтветитьHope the dogs name is tripod
ОтветитьWhat size is the big planter? This would be perfect for our porch but we are having trouble finding the right size
ОтветитьGreat video what size is the pond as I'm trying to find one the same
ОтветитьI wonder if doing with a solar panel and no battery in Florida, USA would be enough to keep the pond clean. My tank would be about 400 gallons and it would only be running while the sun is out.
ОтветитьHi , I have never done DIY but I am going to try and make your filter. How do you cut the hole in the planter so that the connectors fit them exactly? You don't use a uniseal or similar?? What size is the plastic pipe please. Do I need to buy pipe cutters. I will borrow a drill so what size round cutter do I need please? Thank you so very much and thank you for making this video. 😊
ОтветитьThanks for the video, and have just built one for my small pond. I was wondering, do you run your bog filter 24hours/day?
ОтветитьI am building one similar with a wine barrel. The pump I have is too powerful at 1060l p/h. My question is will a pump at 750l p/h and 96cm head height be ok? (Bottom of barrel to top of bog filter is 88cm)
ОтветитьFuture food for thought, you can warm up the tubing to get it over the barb, much easier
ОтветитьWhy dont you put the inlet through the base too?
ОтветитьGreat job. I watched quite some video talking about setting up a bog filter and patio pond, and this is the one which makes me fully understand the process. The method is simple, effective and very easy to follow.
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьInspiration for me -when I have to downsize in the next few years, I know I can still have a small pond!
ОтветитьThat was by far and away the most informative video I have watched. I feel confident now to “ have a go “ at making this filter. Also learned a good idea to grow few water plant in a seperate pool!
ОтветитьI have made a bog filter of concrete using these exact methods like void spaces, gravel, plants etc and my water is crystal clear. In fact crystal clear seems to be an understatement!A slow water flow makes a huge difference, that is the trick
ОтветитьWay better you talking than the awful music you used in another of your videos. Good explanation and clear steps. Thank heaps from Australia
ОтветитьThanks for showing start to finish. I saw another DIY bog filter with the spraybar at the bottom and the filtered water output at the top. I'm confused. Your way way makes more sense tho.🤔
ОтветитьCan you tell me what pump you’d recommend for this type of pond as I’m looking at replicating it? Also are you able to list all the connectors you needed? Many thanks
ОтветитьCool build, man! That stained wood board gave it a nice accent to the green pots. Keep it up love to see more!
ОтветитьI've built a little pond out of a pot this sorta size. It's a great little addition. Wish you'd released this video before I made it though! Few things I would have stolen from you lol
ОтветитьDo u know the size of the planter ?
ОтветитьMassive planter pot love the look of it man. Great job!
ОтветитьCame out super awesome dude
