I know the concept of uploading your mind to a computer since Ghost in the Shell, and it's freaky in some way. But i never knew how creepy it is to think if it was in reality, thanks to this film.

Definitely can't wait to see it!

Depp has always been one of my favorite actors. I loved how he moved to France to avoid the media frenzy in the US, though he has returned recently, albeit for tax reasons. I get skeptical when I hear of all this talk of trans-humanism, the singularity and emerging AI. The unplugging "RIFT" cult speaks to the sense, that many (at some level) have about wanting to move away from our current technology-centric paradigm, which among many things, is replacing jobs faster than we can create. I am certainly no tech hater, the internet is a kick-ass tool like anything else, but when it starts consuming your life or replacing life, films like these serve as cautionary tales; one's that have been brought up before like T2 (1991), The Lawnmower Man (1992), Ghost in the Shell (1995), The Matrix (1999) etc. I'm guessing that Evelyn who mistakenly unleashes "Transcendence" will make a final appeal to his digitally evolved consciousness. And demand that it control its ego and relent before destroying the world as we know it. In the end - from my narrow perspective - this movie is a love story that goes horribly wrong, LOL...

YES! I've been waiting for a film like this! Now, as long as it doesn't turn out to be some kind of anti-technology fear-mongering BS, we'll be OK....

The first time a human mind gets divorced from it's flesh it won't be all rainbows and kittens, but it isn't a decent premise for a disaster movie either.  I at least hope this film will be more like Demon Seed, than The Forbin Project.

When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was a Christopher Nolan film, Just found out the director is a cinematographer for Nolan. I cant wait to see this film.

Needs to be much weirder, looks very predictable.

Bullet laced with radiation poisoning...I know that's not how it is, but now I can't help but interpret it that way.

Great movie loved it. There is a bigger message in the movie beyond the AI plot line. This is all about the dangers of Nanotechnology. Will make you think twice about those mysterious chemtrails being sprayed around the globe.

Any mention of Graphene... now that is extending possibilities ;-)

Good idea, good story, good characters, good acting, references to modern technology (Like the guy playing WoW in the background in one scene). It was a bit too long, but I would give it 9/10.

I started off watching this with a bad feeling, but it was really good actually. Johnny made it even better.
