Funnily enough, I love to imagine this as a song that's also very compatible with Minecraft, given enough context into the greater scale of the game's IP as a world of it's own.

No joke, it outright even has "The End" as a recurring focal point of it's storytelling!

I can't help but imagine a story of the ancestors who lived in the Ancient Cities and what became of them - let alone see it like a parallel to the "dreams" of our own history.

I am four years late to this remix, but I would like you to know that this is probably one of the best remixes I have ever heard of any piece of Sonic music. Absolutely incredible. My only regret is that I can only like and favorite this a single time.

It's so cheesy that's it's wasted in an unknown Sonic game.

This is one of my favorite games and this song is one of my favorite true final boss themes. I also think Merlina is a great antagonist as her goal, while misguided, is something anyone would want. An eternal age of prosperity and happiness. Honestly..... she's kind of a better done Xehanort in that regard.

Part of me wants to ask for an instrumental version

Got this game for my 10th birthday - I'm now 23 years old and this remix got recommended to me. It made me shed a tear :)

I know I'm 2 years late, but I couldn't live without telling you this is the best thing ever, of all time.

Just as a gmv this easily the best one I've seen, your cuts are always on point with the music and fit with the current lyrics (like a whole montage of Sonic daring to fight his enemies when "DARE TO FIGHT" keeps blaring over and over). You managed to take actual gameplay and make it look awesome! Plus some transitions like the sword swings or Arthur going from 2d cut scene to 3d were really really smooth.


But it's not just an GMV, it's also the best goddamn remix ever of the best goddamn song ever. You change the song so much yet stay so faithful, it's crazy. You make it sound so much more final than the original, by toning down the guitar and using a lot more orchestral instruments. Then, you also have those slower moments, where you have somehow taken corruption as a concept and transitioned it to music. I swear, I can feel Melina's entire twist in the start of the song. That's insane! And then you have that happy moment in the song where she speaks, only for it to immediately snap you back to reality. It's beautiful, it actually made me tear up. Then that last part with the lyrics overlapping, man I can't describe the ecstacy and finality.

Genuinely this is my favorite video on this platform, period. I've watched it and listened to it countless times, it's a staple of my Playlist. Thank you for creating this so, so much.
