Why Lord Indra isn't Worshipped in Hinduism?

He was the worst god on par with Zeus, don't know why tridevs let him rule other gods

The fact that indira is not worshipped in india neither brahma because these were the gods of aryans and as aryans fall down in india after lot of invasion from outside they become weak and at that time south kingdom become strong due to that south kingfom attack north india and conquer the land from falling aryans and also they spread their culture in north India and also made temples of their gods and dietirs of which one of them is lord shiva who is actually a god came from south indian culture they forced their gods on north india and built temples here as a mark of victory and slowly local population of north india also starts worshipping them and then it becomes a trend here and now north indians don't even know that they are following gods who are basically from south india

But in nepal we worship indra as "indrajatra"

In Nepal we celebrate Indra-jatra and we also worship ourselves as worshipping our inner god as "Mha puja" at 4th day of dipawali mostly followed by the Newar community not the whole country.

There is a misconception about Ahalya being wrongly punished. The truth is that Ahalya gets to know that it was Indra and not her husband while having intercourse with him, but she chooses not to stop as she was so consumed by desire that she could not resist him. When Gautam rishi asks as to why she did not push Indra away when she got to know, she acknowledges her mistake and confesses that she got carried away by the lust and ecstasy. Gautam rishi curses her saying "since you chose to behave like stone when he (Indra) was having his way with you, may you remain indeed a stone until you are purified by the touch of the lotus feet of Shri Hari" and then he turns to Indra and curses him as well saying "Since you are so obsessed by the sight of the female genitals, may you bear thousands of them all over your body". Once cursed, Indra gets thousands of vulva on his body with each one oozing the menstrual blood. Indra then begs for forgiveness and but Gautam rishi says he has already cursed him and it cannot be undone, but advises him to do penance to convert them all to eyes. That's how Indra gets a body with full of eyes. There is temple in a village called Sucheendram in Tamilnadu. It is believed that this place is where Indra did the penance and got the thousand vulva converted into eyes.
