The Air France crash was similar to a crash in Florida. It was pitch black and 2 seconds before impact the first officer says "we're still at 2000 feet, right?".

Ugh! Some pilots are heros, and others leave the passengers better off having that inflatable autopilot from the movie Airplane as their pilot.

The pilot was fired because the airline didn’t give him adequate training. Had he been given him sufficient training on the new aircraft he could have gotten everyone down safely. I don’t think it was pilot error. It was airline error

The best brain is the natural brain. Artificial Intelligence is a thing produced by natural brains. Therefore AI is never better than the brain which created it. AI doesn’t think. It just does what it is programmed to do. That’s not thinking at all. And sensors are stupid as well.

Didnt they eventually find the air franch flight and determine it was ultimately pilots fixated on issue not realizing the plane was slowly dropping

If they had been trained adequately they would have been told that although the instruments were commonly known for being incorrect, the instruments on the new model had addressed the issue and could be trusted.

Technically because of AA training them to use the rudder aggressively. The pilot did what he was trained to do, this is how airlines pass the buck to save themselves for larger lawsuits and larger fines.

Propaganda of us government FBI & CIA concerning flight 800 over Atlantic. 250 eye witnesses saw 3 missiles hit and explode near left wing. Watch documentary exposing FBI CIA taking over investigation and forbidding. Air craft investigators access to evidence. The documentery, WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO FLIGHT 800, 20 yr private investigation by aircrash investigators and dedicated individuals and victims family members. Also watch movie, COURIER X based on fact during Clinton administration. Each validate each other's revelations. Caution, be prepared to be sickened by corruption of US government and the lengths they've gone to to hide their lies and corrupt activity.

I have been a commercial pilot for 126 years. I always tell my junior pilots is to mastabate prior and after a flight.
It has helped me over the tears and l put my personal stamp of approval on this..

This is a problem with nearly total automation. The pilots skill tend to atrophy, and they are not as prepared to handle an emergency where they have to take over an aircraft in trouble. It seems a better balance must be found.

In wake turbulence situations, rudder control should be done by the more experienced Captain, not the first officer.

It's not the pilots fault in most cases. It's the Airlines refuse to spend the money to train them on how things work and why. As something can come up. And if you have not been trained on how the systems work. You're chances of figuring out the problem in time are zero..

This is one reason Airlines want to know the cost to retrain pilots on new planes. It's baked into their overall cost of buying them. It's what got Boeing in trouble. They told the buyers, You don't need to retrain pilots. Which can be $1 Million dollars per pilot. It cost 350+ people their lives. When they found out Boeing lied to them..

some of this is just crazy. How does any pilot worth his salt pull the nose up in a stall and just hold it there. Also were is the yoke feed back on the pilots side. It's an aeroplane and not a TV game. This documentary is wrong about the air France flight. They must have found the boxes. dunno who put this together.

If the purpose of the video was to frighten airline passengers by mixing half-truths with blatant inaccuracies supported with the help of professionally valid, but out-of-context statements, then the video works perfectly well to achieve this goal.
The real question to ask is: for what purpose do you want to induce anxiety in passengers with well-camouflaged BS?
Who benefits?

Being ex-airforce in Australia, is that we make split moment decisions. Not all automations on all aircraft are foolproof. Things do go wrong and systems do fail. Computers do FAIL. Talking from experience.

Pilot error is rarely that. Lack of or inadequate training plus a failure to pass on up to date and correct information regarding modifications is the real cause as we see over and over again

. A 4 engined B737 that weighs 400 tonnes ! What a load of rubbish . QF 72 had nothing to do with pilot “error” and had everything to do with pilot skill that safely got that aircraft on the ground and no one died. The nonsensical comments over the Kegworth disaster in relation to the differences course between the B737-300 and B737-400 somehow not being adequate is total twaddle, the cause of the tragedy was formal standard operating procedures were not in place at the time to mitigate the errors that occurred. The blame lies with regulators and manufacturers of the aircraft. I turned this rubbish off in the next segment when the presenter described wake turbulence as being caused by exhaust from the engines , it is not. Wake turbulence flows off the wings as vortices generated by the wings and at high takeoff weights in the takeoff configuration they are at their greatest and that is why wake turbulence separation standards are enforced for take off an landing.
