The pictures you showed of comforters are actually duvets without a duvet cover. A comforter does not come in two parts as the decorative fabric is the outer fabric whereas duvets are sold seperately from duvet covers.

Great tips. Personally I would not remove rugs at the front and back doors as prospective buyers need to wipe their feet while entering the home. One more thing, all items attached to the fridge should be removed.

Two mistakes:

- your top lid eyeshadow is heavy. Bottom lid needs to be balanced with top.

- your shirt’s neckline is not professional when giving professional advice.

If I was an estate agent I would refuse putting a house on the market before it is staged at least at this basic level. Makes a HUGE difference: not just the way it looks on the pictures but how fast it sells.

And I agree get a duvet people! I just wouldn't have used the s bomb. If I may add a few of my own pet peeves: closets with mismatched hangers, and over full messy garages, mid century modern decor in anything but a mcm home...ok thanks for the great videos and as a mom I'm giving you the "keep it clean missy" lol order.

I guess this video opened the floodgates for me as the signs drive me crazy. I hate the GATHER and BE THANKFUL, etc. signs. They are getting really old and redundant. They will soon all end up in a Goodwill and Thrift Store as the fad is fading....oh and changing the subject. I hate dirty tubs, tile and toilets and personal stuff hanging on hooks and stuff in bathrooms. Really? Bras and underwear and old shoes, etc. yuck. Ok I am done ranting....

Couldn't agree more on these 5. But add in a cluttered bathroom and nasty closets to the list. I hate colored walls, ie. orange, blue, green etc. When I was house hunting and saw orange or punk walls, etc. I closed the front door and walked back to my car. I didn't even look anymore I was so turned off.

I understand that for the purposes of this vid- you had to narrow it down but, I would like to throw my two cents in, just coming off of the real estate market (selling and buying a house)

NO DEAD ANIMAL HEADS ON THE WALLS. NO RELIGIOUS STUFF AT ALL and, we saw one thing that was so off-putting...I have to remark on it- Right as we entered a house-there was one of those chainsaw art bears holding a sign saying: "Got beer farts?". YUCK. Not everyone shares that kind of humor. There seems to be a trend lately of signs up on the walls as if a potential buyer can't figure out where they are. "kitchen", or "laundry" etc.

Sales staging opinions vary

She has some good suggestions however we have 9-foot ceilings in our kitchen with very wide area between the cabinet and the ceiling so our Italian Pottery collection actually points out how high the ceilings are and closes up the big Blank Space. Overall I find her very judgemental condescending snippy tone in presenting her ideas is a real turn-off.

Always thought my white, no pattern coverlet looked more classy than my plaid, so people could get beyond my taste and envision themselves there. Thanks for changing my mind. Those kitchens looked so much larger without the clutter on cabinets! We too passed on homes that were painted garish colors even though they were "priced to sell". By the time we are ready to sell, we'll get more money just because of your fantastic tips and ideas! Thanks a bundle, Lou!

Thank you for mentioning fake plants over the cabinets. I used to be guilty of that but it taught me: just bc there’s an empty space in ur house or nook DOES not mean u have to fill it w/smthg ..... 😉
