what part of £849 is affordable? it's more expensive than 99% of phones out there

i bought this phone a couple of months ago and I love it. I've been a OnePlus fan since day one and only buy their phones. It's a beast

The cameras are horrible dude. I mean s24 same price or cheaper. The cameras might be a few years back but the processing of those cameras are great.

Upgrading OnePlus 6t to OnePlus 12 love it

Hey i am thinking about upgrading from S9+ to either S23 Ultra or One Plus 12 as they are the same price?
What would you recommend ?

I've had the phone for 4 months now. It's the best phone I ever used. I came from the s23 and mate 50 pro. I will say however, I found the best aftermarket screen protector, it's perfect, and a ton of cool custom case options from a custom website, and AliExpress. I can't complain. I also never had any camera bugs or accidental touches, which makes this phone that much better

One plus needs a flat screen that curved screen dumb

I pre-ordered two OnePlus 12's for $599 each and my husband and I both love them! No camera issues whatsoever and it takes better photos than my Pixel 6 Pro did. I love a curved screen but would have been happy with a flat screen too. Our previous phones were OnePlus 11's, which were also great but our 12's are even better!

I've had mine since launch. The battery life is amazing. No phone charges faster. It's been an excellent phone and it was a pretty big upgrade of over the OnePlus 10 pro in my opinion.

It's been stated that they didn't want to pay for the certification for IP68, if you watch any phone teardowns, you'll see the exact same rubber seals as any other IP68 rated phone..

There's a video of a OP12 submerged I think for over 30min and no issue whatsoever.

I would pick up this phone, but that design is ugly to me. Loving the S24 ultra but always love seeing manufacturers doing amazing work. I just returned to android from ios after 10 years and really enjoying it.

I wanted to get the OnePlus 12, but it had the curve screen, so I didn't end up getting it. I had a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with its curve display, it cracked from the side, and they told me they didn't fix my phone due to it being a curved display. At least the places I went to get it repaired. From there, I never got a phone with a curve display.

IP 65 means it is good against Dust and Sand and against Water, you should not put it under Water but u can easy clean it in your sink.

Camera definitely not better than the ultra

I sent mine back for a refund, the clock on the lock screen and the notification shade is unusable because oneplus made a stupid decision to make the hour digits deep red when they are '1'. Everyone is complaining about it, I went though the OnePlus support channels and this was the reply I received:

`I would like to kindly inform you that the red number 1 is a tribute to our brand, it's part of OnePlus logo. It always been red for number one in OnePlus clocks. Therefore, you can rest assured the clock is not broken. This is a default feature and it cannot be changed.`

My current phone is a OnePlus 3T, and it does not have an unreadable red clock.

Why no-one mentions this in reviews is beyond me as being able to quickly tell the time is basic functionality. Community posted workarounds do not work. I'm not rooting my phone and breaking my banking apps and google pay to try and fix it myself.

I just got the phone and my impression is good but idk if it's just me but every time I get a new device the battery life seems to drop fast because I always look at the percentage but I hope that's just me, and for performance you said it stays cool in intensive games but in my personal experience that can't be further from the truth it thermal throttles in minutes and fps gets locked at 55

Oneplus 12 have good wifi connections without mmwave 5g?

I am about to sell mine. I had the OnePlus Open and sold it for the 12. Now I have both and I just cant put the Open down. Now that I have gone to a foldable I cant go back.

I am pretty sure that the waterproof ratings are based on fresh water. Salt water doesn't count. You might want to be more careful at the beach with whatever phone you take there.

You should be thinking about that when you're using other phones because it doesn't matter if it's ip64 ip68 or if they come out with some IP 72... it doesn't make a difference because that rating is only for regular dust and regular water those ratings do not count for sand and under no circumstance do they count for sea and saltwater... so you should be babying your phone around a beach regardless to what you think it's capable of protecting you...

I've owned the Samsung S24 ultra and the Oneplus 12. The Samsung S24 ultra does have the nicer screen, flat square edges, better camera, AI, different OS. Given all that, the Oneplus has very very fast charging, much better face recognition and fingerprint recognition. Like it's not even close to Samsung S24. The swipe up to unlock is much more forgiving. Meaning the oneplus is much easier to swipe to unlock the screen. The phone does have IP65 however it does have the seals for IP68 meaning it could be even more water resistant than rated. The screen's rounded edges are much more comfortable than the S24. Edges dig into your hand when holding the s24 phone. You definitely need to get a case for the Oneplus 12. It's slippery! After using the S24 and Oneplus 12, I decided to return the S24 and keep the Oneplus 12. I couldn't be happier. Oh and the Oneplus has 120x zoom. I've never seen the moon with all it's craters in such detail 🌕

Bought a 1 plus 12R. It's a complete POS! I've spent hours and hours with their help center getting absolutely nowhere. Will not tether to my laptop, yet wife's 1plus 4 yr old Nord works just fine. One Plus service people are all in India and can't understand them talk way fast and bad pronunciation. Have to have them repeat many times sometimes never understanding them. There are other issues too. They did say I could send it to repair center. Seen on net some people haven't got their phone after 3 weeks! Never going to buy a phone off internet again
