iMovie Basics Tutorial - How To Use iMovie

Now THIS is made with a beginner's perspective in mind.

I am making an anniversary music video of my parents using mostly photos. Any suggestions to keep in mind? Also, is there a function where I can have the closed captions of the lyrics shown? Thanks.

There does not appear to be a way to overlay an image on to a green screen. The workaround is to first perform your green screen effect, export the video and then reimport it as a separate clip and use that instead of the green screen and background.

Excellent refresher. Over the years I had become conversant with several video editing systems - including Final Cut Pro - but the most recent was more than a decade ago. As I watched this video I edited a test project of my own. It went very well and, I'm sure, saved me a lot of time. I was surprised how many of the keyboard and mouse commands were unchanged. They came back easily. Thanks!

for some reason I'm good at premiere but can't figure out simple things in iMovie. I was trying to adjust audio and now I can only see the audio track and can't find my video. To me, premiere is way more intuitive.
