Nvidia, I’m Sorry. GTX 1660 Ti Review

i bought the 1660 ti for my first build and its performing pretty well for 1080p gaming

Now with the GF experience comments we see glimpse of the under the surface lol

this card is a masterpiece
still 1080p beast

Linus I'm putting this at the beginning because I know that you're paying attention and looking for my comments specifically. But how is it that I can have a 1660 TI in a laptop and yet what you're holding is a big old honkin mass chunky fat graphics card with three fans on it? My laptop is about the size of that card itself. Now granted I understand there is going to be differences in performance, it as far as I'm aware it's literally just the chip itself and that entire card is basically cooling along with a couple other things and that's why there's more performance coming from that, granted I also know that you might answer my question in this video, but I'm going to put this here anyways because I want to.

Got a used one for 110€ here in europe. Best value for sure nowadays

in 2023 there's no reason to get a 16 series card anymore as the RTX 4060 is available for just $300 for a 178% performance gain over the 1660 ti.

My 1660ti is going 4 years strong, it's a 1080p beast but I'm looking at an upgrade to 3070 now that prices for those are what I'm willing to pay. Some games, Squad particularly, really are starting to make it struggle.

Aw yes everybody cares about raytracing-Starts with 360fps without it vs with Rtx 60fps. yay! I only lost 300fps🤣

I thought the logic of Nvidia's naming convention was that the 16 series was supposed to be between a 10 and 20 but slightly closer to the 20 so they went with 16 instead of 15. Is that dumb? Maybe, but you can at least kinda follow the logic from a marketing stand point, i.e. bigger number = better

my brother just gave me a hp omen with a 1660ti. coming from my pc with a 1050ti it seems like a nice upgrade

Just got a pc of rn for like 699 with a gtx 1660 ti, i5 11400f, 16gb of ram (but I’m switching it out for 2x8) then a 512 ssd which I will be upgrading but overall scammed Best Buy ngl 😂

OK with how much time has passed. What is a good upgrade from the 1660ti that I can replace the graphics card with? And would I need a new power supply as well?

It's almost 4 years now. My 1660 Ti still runs most games on High at 1080p and it didn't cost ten billion $ back when I got it.

Paired with an i7-11700 and 32GB of RAM, this Card performs great for me and coming from playing on an Intel HD 5500 (i3-5005U CPU) the experience is aweasome, this card runs everithing i throw at it and most of the time on max settings.

lol, just spent $49 on a 1070 because my 1060-3GB wasn't cutting for COD Warzone.

i have 1660 TI (6gb vcard) 16gb ram and 1060 (4gb) 8 gb Ram . while i am playing warzone 1660 TI only got 30 - 40 FPS , and 1060 could reach 60 - 80 fps..

rip all these bozos im getting my gtx 1660ti for £190

Why not include gtx 1080 in the comparison ? What I don't understand is that 1660 is higher than 1080 yet 1080 performs better.

right after this review i got one from evga b stock for $75 cheaper than retail. i cant tell you what was wrong with it, but its been fixed.

I built my old pc 2 years ago specs were Ryzen 5 2600x, 16gb 3200 ddr4 ram, msi 6gb ddr6 1660ti, aorus b450m, 250 gb ssd, 1tb hd, 4 case fans, 450w psu. 1660ti 2 years ago I bought for $330 tax included. Now its worth $600. I gave that to my brother a while ago and missed playing pc and with the prices of cards now i bought a prebuilt ibuypower for $1099 with a 1660ti as well some specs are better than others with this one but my other pc is still going strong. the 1660 ti is a decent budget gpu that will run anygame you like. on forza horizon 5 i get about 90 fps with everything on high. Fortnite gets about 270 but i cap at 144. Haven't had a problem playing a game yet but i do tend to only play the same couple of games. I do recommend getting this card if its what fits your budget.
