I believe that Catherine de Medici was a Survivor and as strong Woman could ever hope to be.Her Devotion to her husband and children are evident. I greatly admire her . May She Rest In Peace

BTW, Queen Catherine was Quadroon not Black( one quarter African through an enslaved serving woman, who was later married to a villager and ignored.

My family are direct descendents of Huguenots who came through Acadia, Canada to Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia, then, finally, to New Orleans. We were in Savannah, which is home to the Huguenot Society.
