I Can't Stop Playing the Retroid Pocket Flip [Review]

Is there a way to recalibrate the touch screen?
Finding my touch’s are far off where they are landing. Kind of annoying but curious if there is a way to fix. (Normally android has calibration settings but I wasn’t able to find it in the settings or online.)

I’d want a more powerful (for 3ds) and sleeker version with just 2 triggers on the back (the ds got this right)

I really hope they release a flip 2 that moves the speakers & dedicated buttons to the front, and removes the fan or makes it worth using. I'm not an engineer, but I doubt these adjustments would be too hard to make.

What's the keyboard in the background?

I am mostly interested on emulating Sega Saturn games. Guardian Heroes, Magic Knight Rayearth, World Wide Soccer, Fifa 98, Assault Suit Leynos 2, and so other games from my youth, but I am not sure yet how well will this console do to emulate them. I'm very confused and still hope that a new console is released but all they have done are upgrades for RP3+ (metal), this and RP2S, so none of this give me trust to feel I would do ok with Saturn emulation. What do you think?

Also, how's the DPad for fighting games? 50% of my favorite games on all consoles are fighting games so if I will be having trouble to mark a Shoryuken properly then I won't buy it. I hope anybody could enlighten me with their experience using the DPad on RP3+ or Flip to play games like Street fighter 2.

other reviewer had tested it, the fan made it slight increase performance by avoiding CPU throttling.

Odd question here, but is there any way to install VLC or another Andrio Movie Player? My kids like to watch movies a lot, and it seems this is a good device all around for that, especially when we're out and about, as the Flip Screen makes the viewing experience nice for them.

Can a new 3ds emulate better than this?

Is there a general button size this uses where i could do the rainbow buttons on it? I think thats the only thing its missing is some color in there. I would say GameCube color buttons but that would probably be impossible to find.

I decided to get one 16 bit version, I have been using it for a week or so and I have the fan in auto and I'm having trouble hearing the turning on. Also ordered a black but r3 and the battery not working right did an exchange and second one the hinge was loose and battery problems. I think some of the color variations are an older version of it

I cant decide between this or Retroid Pocket 3 plus for my first emulation handheld. I wonder if you could add Kodi on the device as well? Of course I'll get the 16Bit US color of whichever 1 I get and a 512 GB SD card to store all of the roms on it.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to buy an android based system when I have a decent android phone already. I totally get the sentiment of "it's console, it's focused on games". I think Nintendo Switch executed that really well when it launched at the height of console "media centres"

now, if they can actually make a dual screen flip like the 3ds and better chip to run the 3ds games at full speed, then that would be an absolute buy.

I'm kind of tempted by the gpd win max 2, I have a steam deck and it would be interesting to have a laptop hybrid with a much larger screen

I really want one of these. I love clamshell design alot. I want an sleek nice pockatable emulator like this. I was originally planning to get an Ayin Odin. But the design and clamshell wins me here. I'm just wishing I could comfortably play GC and PS2 well with all the prior stuff. But I'm wondering if I should get this and enjoy it for what it does. Since I have a phone, tablet, and laptop that can emulate more. But it's the form factor also. Otherwise should I wait in hopes for a more powerful clamshell maybe or possibly a retroid flip +?
