My brother-in-law, who has travelled fairly extensively, said that locals in Seville are pretty rude. On a narrow sidewalk, they would walk shoulder to shoulder, not making any room for pedestrians to pass going the other direction. Then, when there was an inevitable collision, they would curse and gesture at his party. I will say that my brother-in-law is not a "typical American tourist", and he is a conversant Spanish speaker. This experience seemed to be particular to Seville, and he had a much better experience in other parts of Spain.
