Great video! Yes to this all, my family and I just m led from BC to Chestermere just outside main Calgary. Buying a home in or around Vancouver or even the island just isn’t realistic. Townhomes are over a million dollars it’s so sad. Having a young family meant we had to really lay our cards out on the table and we decided to make the move after visiting the beautiful Chestermere. We don’t have any family or friends here so it goes to show that the decision was hard but necessary. So far what we love: it’s actually really beautiful, the roads are so much better constructed and the Stoney Trail loop makes getting around the city a breeze. It’s so much more family oriented here and everyone is so friendly. Chestermere has a lame and it’s the perfect little town that ain’t far from downtown. Can’t wait to do some more exploring. Also some points to include: gas is cheaper and there’s no PST here! Downtown is also super clean which surprised me
ОтветитьAre all Canadians gay or just 75%?
Ответитьyea, they move here, but bring with them their deranged left wing voting practices. turning Calgary into the place they just fled. why we have a ultra woke mayor now. stupid ppl.
ОтветитьYou forgot Alberta is Conservative...
Real Conservative Not fake Conservative like Ontario.
If you are Liberal please stay in the East.
Walmart, Canadian Tire, Home Depot, and Amazon!! whoa! all great places to work... 🙄
ОтветитьAwesome video!! I have subscribed to your channel and I’ll be watching a lot more of your videos to learn more about moving to Calgary. Thanks!!
Ответитьthe main reason why people love calgery is for its wild fires and gangs gun fights.
ОтветитьCalgary seems lovely.
ОтветитьI'd live in Calgary again if the government were somewhere close to reality...
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm from Suriname. Is a nice city. What about jobs?
ОтветитьVery beautiful ❤️ city very clean I lived there for 10 years and miss it. I lived in the sw in sommset
ОтветитьI wish the media would stop promoting Calgary to others, and especially investors.
I've lived in Calgary my entire life and graduated in 2014 when the federal government turned thier backs on Alberta's economy. I still managed to build a career, but know many in Calgary who suffered, and are suffering with increasing cost of housing.
Not sure why Edmonton doesn't get more publicity. Housing in Calgary used to be on par with Edmonton; now Calgary is less affordable for Calgarians and hurts those who have family and a careers built here from the gecko.
You are my favorite part of the video I would like to pick your brain about living in Calgary I am thinking of moving in November. If you have the time..
ОтветитьYYC is an airport code. Nobody is moving to the Calgary Airport. I have never heard of another city using the airport code as a nickname. Why the airport code?
It's a little weird if you ask me. Is it to take attention away from the traditional Cow Town nickname?
Excellent information. Thank You
ОтветитьGreat and informative video. I wish you’d touched on the weather too. Am interested to know whether you get ragweed pollen in the Fall like the east end of Canada. I know that BC doesn’t have this problem but does this extend to Alberta too? Only allergy sufferers would understand where I’m coming from with this question.....
Ответить[ Like ] ....so I think I'll look for more on your YT channel. Cheers!
ОтветитьI hate videos like this because it's the good thing before the reckoning. I used to live in Seattle when it was up and coming and affordable, then it boomed--Amazon, Costco, Microsoft boomed and brought people from around the country and world in, and the affordability and charm was done. Then came high as hell rents, crazy ass traffic, profuse homelessness and rampant transientism of the populace and a metro area that cant keep up with demand. Calgary is positioned the same like Seattle, with the big city, with the small town fee--until it isn't and the 'small town' grows up and inherits big city issues.
ОтветитьVery Nice City Looks Peaceful ! I plan moving to Canada this year , I got question for a truck driving job it's better in Calgary or Toronto . For road safety etc ?
ОтветитьGreat content
ОтветитьIt’s was way cheaper in Calgary before but as so many people moved the cost of things went so up for people who have been living their before . Unfortunately it’s gonna soon turn like Toronto in term if cost as it’s getting people left right and centre
ОтветитьPolice state hell-hole. Two attack helicopters. Religious persecution. Cops going to prison for corruption. Stabbings, shootings, gangs. And a crazy mayor.
ОтветитьThe root cause is war between Russia and Ukraine. Supply is limited and worse OPEC is limiting supply. The big energy corporate are foreseeing profit in investing capital project. The result is hiring people, so people just reside where the job is
Ответить👍
ОтветитьPffff it’s a place for peasants who can’t afford to live in somewhere fancier
ОтветитьHi! While shooting this video, I noticed that everything is green. Was interested to know how many months on the year does it stay green vs being covered in snow??
Also, what are your thoughts on new (2020+) communities being built i.e. Alpine Park, Vermilion Hill etc. I want to visit later this year to check em out, but google maps satellitle view still shows that those communities are far from being built which is why I was a bit confused as to progress there. But as a Vancouverite, seeing brand new detached units for sub 1M is insane. Not to mention, being a condo city dweller for so long, I am really intrigued about the idea of moving to an actual community based suburb. Even if its 20-30 mins from DT.
does calgary get a lot of snow? i really love how great of a city it is but i like my warmer temperatures, people say it gets extremely cold but also its the sunniest place in canada so idk. Also for how long does the snow last in a year? Thanks!
ОтветитьWow the work you did!
Ответитьfrom downtown toronto to downtown toronto takes about 40 min.
Ответитьconstruction sector has opportunity in calgary
Ответить❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ответитьbrother..I like your video making style and the way you explain things.. keep on going you have great potential.
ОтветитьWhat about winters what is the avg temp, secondly is their good agricultural land nearyby and how much an acre
ОтветитьWhat about halal food in calgary
ОтветитьCalgary isn’t bad, but it’s just a bigger small town, so yeah affordable.
ОтветитьPeople are sick of this tyrannical body telling everyone how to live!!
ОтветитьCalgary is the Denver of Canada.
Ответитьsummary -
1. Calgary is more affordable than Vancouver and Toronto in terms of rent and home prices.
2. There are job opportunities and economic growth in Calgary
3. The vibe in Calgary is slower-paced and values hobbies and family time, but each community has a different vibe.
3. Inner-city communities in Calgary have older homes, but newer infills are available at a premium.
4. Calgary is spread out, so a car is needed, but has good road systems.
In the next months, I will enjoy live in Calgary: I came from Italy, a nightmare for worker condition and possibilty to make projects.
Calgary looks pretty cool for people who need time bu also money.
I'll go for have roomate, for have less waste of money: be togheter help a lot.
Calgary sucks too many liberals pushing their woke crap!
ОтветитьStudents: Don't move to Calgary: I completed 2 summer student positions with Atco Electric. I was certain that I would retire with this company. After 15 years working for them I got laid off. The southerns love their horse jumping field in Calgary ( Spruce Meadows ) more than keeping their long time employees. Companies in Calgary are just as sh^$ty s anywhere else. They all talk about attracting young grads but how long does that last. At 30 years old you will probalbly still have student loans and these Alberta companies won't see you in the same light. It would be in your best interest to find a way to work for yourself.
ОтветитьVery nice video thanks for sharing
ОтветитьCalgary looks very village realness. too townish for me
ОтветитьMoved to Calgary from surrey, b.c. Honesty I love it. Yes it can be cold but we get those Chinook winds and it's great! So close to the mountains loveeee all the parks around. DT isn't super lively like Vancouver but I mean it still has its spots!
ОтветитьIn the thumbnail it looks like you are holding the building as a torch lighting the city on fire
ОтветитьEvery city on the planet claims they are an evolving "tech hub".
ОтветитьWorst city, especially school facility is not good and I don’t recommend this city, house rents also not cheap as describe in video and too expensive compared with other city or USA.
ОтветитьThis is the first video I saw of yours and just clicked subscribed button ,, great video. , I am also planning to move to calgary from toronto as its impossible for me to afford a house here. What area would you suggest to get a house (with finished basement) - budget is 600-700K
