Today 90+% can have a camera (& instant worldwide reach) in their hands, and every doorbell, ATM, Tesla and light pole is watching ….

Its interesting because most people compliment those they know had work done and/or they don't feel threatened by because they know it isn't natural beauty but never compliment the actual naturally beautiful ones. And no not everyone has nasolabial folds. I dont. Most people get plastic surgery to get what I naturally have.

We had a photographer at work (for taking unified corporate photos). With an oddly placed lighting, he managed to make many of us look 10 years older. So i guess in some photos bad lighting + unflattering makeup + awkward angle made the trick for Gigi. I would not post these photos of myself either. If that would be absolutely necessary, I would "tune" them first, maybe not to that extent but still. I understand Gigi here

Honestly, just as a comment about the superficiality of outward beauty in any case, I’m a baby faced 28-year-old and for my entire adolescence and early adulthood, I was insecure about how much younger I looked compared to my age. Now at 28, even though I still could pass for quite a bit younger, the fact that I do look slightly older and I AM older now with more certainty of myself means I carry myself with more confidence. I love the role of woman rather than “young girl” like the beauty industry pressures women to resemble. I have more of a spring to my step. I have a relaxation about navigating my way through the world since I trust myself and my instincts more. This confidence (though wavering at times since we’re all human) is what makes people just seem more attractive regardless of how they look according to conventional standards.
