I’ll point out that anything in the $1,000 - $1,500 range wouldn’t have a chance here. It might be worth doing one for under-$1500 watches. I think you’re guaranteed a lot of views no matter how many of these you do, so no reason not to?

The SPB143 should’ve gone up against the Sinn, not the Pointer. That Pointer is no question against the 143. (I’m biased the 143 is on my wrist)

Would be a hard contest between the cw twelve, oris bc pointer date, and the seiko spb143. But those are definitely the ones that stand out from the rest here.

As the proud owner of a Big Crown Pointer Date, my bias is satisfied here 😂 But seriously I love the new Longines I had no idea how nice those were

The Oris big crown was clearly the best looking watch of the lot followed by the Nomos one and then the Junghans and then the Tudor (because of the color of the pointers) The rest of them (barring the Seiko GMT) looked very traditional

Whos voting on this pointer date beats nomos amd longines dont think so maybe it was rocking the 400 in-house movement but its not so 👎

Only gripe for me is lack of Ball and Mido in top16 (and too many Nomos and Seiko).

I can’t contest the Oris win too much, but I would have ranked the Junghans Max Bill (especially the anthracite dial) much higher.

I don't really get why the CW Twelve was a surprise. I like the Longines Conquest, but the Twelve looks even better in my opinion, it's almost half the price and if the finish is as good as they say it could be just as good as the Longines, which is good but there's nothing to blow your mind. In fact the CW Sealander looks closest to the Conquest and that's even cheaper still, currently at £840 against £1900 and again, edges it in overall design.

The longines spirit should have been on the list. I own the 40mm big crown pointer on a bracelet. Great watch but the clasp is cheap. For that money it should have been a milled clasp or butterfly deployant.

Best watch under 2000 USD is the Casio Oceanus T200. It’s actually better than my two tone Rolex GMT in terms of performance, ease of reading and never having to touch it.
