What's the difference between a carousel and creating multiple designs and posting them at one time?

None of these videos are telling how to ADD a photo to an already posted carousel, I don’t need to rearrange them lol I pick them in the order I want before posting

how do you create a carousel story, I wanted to put many pictures as stories all at one time, not on a single page, but have page 1,2,3, with various effects, how do I do that please ?

I should've done this with my 2nd Instagram account. Back then i posted pictures separately in one day.

This is a confusing video. Facebook and Instagram make an explicit difference between carousel posts and multi-photos post. At this time, 28 JAN 2021 you cannot promote and instagram multi-post. In the ads manager, the boot button is greyed out for all my multi-photos posts with the hint ""Boost unavailable, multiple photo post are not supported in Instagram ads, please you carousel ad format instead". Not knocking your video, nice job explaining things otherwise, but at the moment in time the title of the video is confusing.
