ОтветитьAbsolutely love Perspective AND Fake or Fortune. So much exquisite work on extraordinary art how lovely ❤️❤️🙏
Ответить:)🙏
ОтветитьSuch an amazing piece and story.
ОтветитьIt’s so difficult not to forward to the end to find out the outcome!
ОтветитьNon of the addresses for people to contact them about mystery master art will go through. . I am very disappointed .
ОтветитьI thought Neil's painting was the real deal because of something noone mentioned. In the real deal Emiles face was pretty and delicate and in the copies they were kind of horse faced. Sorry about the term but it was the first term that sprung to mind. There was more light and life to the painting. Maybe that is what is the difference between a copyist and a masterwork. Just through the eyes of a former tourist that went to the Louve as a young woman and was blown away.❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI've also just discovered this series - 2023, and so far, just love it. This particular episode was very moving on a few levels. So glad it all worked out. Love seeing all the many experts involved in the searches. On to the next episode!!
ОтветитьBy far my favorite episode
ОтветитьI am so happy for her.
ОтветитьThis episode should be a movie, there are powerful similarities in the love between the french king and queen and those who ended up with the painting the thread that connects the two ❤
ОтветитьThanks for this wonderful programme. I feel heartbroken by seeing the room the former queen created with everything she held on to. It’s not about monarchy or status but loosing one‘s life as you knew it completely and not recovering from it.
ОтветитьI wish
Ответитьis this the Harry Potter soundtrack in the back ground ?
ОтветитьSuch beautiful interiors and art pieces. Like jewels...This family is so blessed.
ОтветитьOhh just love the Harry Potter music in these shows

ОтветитьMy favorite sleuthing show .... every single episode is a nail-biter, and the 2 hosts are simply wonderful.
ОтветитьImagine being the people who tasked Christie's to sell this painting and finding out that it was worth thousands more than the 500 pounds they got in 1989....
ОтветитьI can already tell you, no.
ОтветитьGod. Imagine that being your home - Unbelievably elegant.
ОтветитьThe interiors whenever filmed are just stunning
ОтветитьBeckie has just come inside from the garden shed.. or she lives in a shelter somewhere.
ОтветитьI agree with others... with the exorbitant outcomes of so many other works of art that have been on the auction block....how in the world was this not a million or more. The historical value alone makes this priceless.
ОтветитьAs fascinating and absorbing this series is, in this case, did I miss how and where the painting turned up for sale where Neil purchased it?
I love this show❤
hope they do this show for many more years..
ОтветитьThis painting should be worth way more then just a miserable $50gs.. worth way more.. this show is starting to shit me and how the art world craps all over a person who is lucky enough to come across lost art works.. the next person who buys it will re sell it for millions.. while this poor woman gets ripped off when she really needs some luck.. 🤬😡🤯
ОтветитьI wonder how much the painting sold for? Very cool provenance.❤ Bendle (sp?) always slays with the research. He pulled out all the receipts this time. These hosts know how to build up the drama! ❤
ОтветитьI may be a bit thick but the question of the color of the queen's dress in the painting is gold and in the copies the dress is red. In the painting of the queen's bedroom the dress was definitely gold......
ОтветитьYellow & Red are usually the first colors to fade thru sunlight. Also in clothing, thru repeated washing they fade first.
ОтветитьPleased!
ОтветитьI just had to be curious...Becky did sell the painting, July 2019, at a Christie's auction. Many of the discoveries that were made in this show were mentioned on the website for the auction. The painting sold for 33,750 pounds. I was disappointed that it did not sell for more with its rich history, though not entirely surprised with the color changes and the overpainting done, which apparently most, if not all, was done by Delaroche himself to repair damage.
ОтветитьA fascinating discovery trail and have learned so much about how pigments faded quickly in former times. Also that even a top artist had to do some overpainting some time. Elinor Carleton Smith
ОтветитьI can tell by their expressions when they’re waiting for the ‘expert’ to arrive that they know they’ll be held hostage by this guy. Seems like such an anomaly in artistic expression that one person would be held to such a high standard, and that there isn’t a group of persons to arrive at such a life changing decision.
ОтветитьArtist not my cup,of tea…the presenters? I’m addicted!
ОтветитьThe only masterpieces allowed on my wall will be the efforts of my grandchildren.
ОтветитьSono molto felice per questa famiglia anche se ha dovuto sopportare una perdita così grande
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьI wonder if France would be interested... and if so... how much would they pay for it.
ОтветитьFake investigation. This Delaroche painting is a minor one probably not worth a fortune except for poor art lovers. Even in France Delaroche is barely known and does not not compare with the best Raphaelites.
ОтветитьApologies in advance - but Id love to see Philip and Aviva go at it over the xray scanner..
ОтветитьI can't believe it how in almost every episode these "conservation experts" use their bare hands to move the artwork around, often touching the paint areas as well. There are gloves for that purpose.
ОтветитьHow disheartening it must have been for Paul Delaroche to discover the damage to his painting was so bad that he didn't feel he could restore it to its original state!
ОтветитьIt was sold through Christies.. Delaroche Sainte Amélie, Reine de Hongrie
Found at Christies, London

I like 'Fake or Fortune' series bigly. I've watched about 14 of them. Thanks, and aloha from Hawaii.
ОтветитьIf the stained glass had kept the bright golden dress , it would be to bright and wash out the rest of the glass.
