Steps:

- Open up Facebook. Tap on the menu hamburger button beside the notification bell, scroll down and tap on settings and privacy and then tap on settings.

- Now tap on the first option on the list here, ‘personal information’.

- On the next page tap on where it says your name.

- Tap on the ‘ add a nickname’ button at the top here.

- You can now enter in your desired nickname.

- Tap on ‘show at top of profile’ and then hit the save button.

- Now that has been saved, you will need to close and reopen the app to see it take effect.

- As you can see the nickname has now been applied to my Facebook profile
