ОтветитьNow and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love, and it's an ache I still remember
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end, always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well, you said that we would still be friends
But I'll admit that I was glad it was over
But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger, and that feels so rough
No, you didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
I guess that I don't need that, though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Now and then I think of all the times you screwed me over
But had me believing it was always something that I'd done
And I don't wanna live that way
Reading into every word you say
You said that you could let it go
And I wouldn't catch you hung up on somebody that you used to know
But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing (aah-ooh)
And I don't even need your love (ooh)
But you treat me like a stranger, and that feels so rough (aah)
No, you didn't have to stoop so low (ooh)
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number (aah)
I guess that I don't need that, though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know
Somebody (I used to know)
Somebody (now you're just somebody that I used to know)
Somebody (I used to know)
Somebody (now you're just somebody that I used to know)
I used to know
That I used to know
I used to know
Somebody

ОтветитьKimbra's pov is my pov about my previous relationship. While he was in a relationship with me he was hang up on his ex crush M. I could relate to some parts of Gotye when he said that he felt lonely in her company. I did feel lonely in his company as well. He treated me like shit for 3 years. I am still hurt but I am glad that he cut me off or else I'd be miserable.
ОтветитьI FOUND IT FINALLY!!? 🎉❤
ОтветитьFire
ОтветитьThis is the best version. Just their mesmerizing voices.
ОтветитьNigh-on three thousand comments, and having read a few (I know, unusual thing to do), I am reminded of the George Burns joke "I have never sung a song without lyrics.". Anyone with a basic music education (not so basic that it is solely from watching uploaded TikTok or YT videos) will appreciate the simple comment that accompanies the video.
If the sounds that the voices make can be represented on a musical stave, then that is music. Ask a music teacher (preferably one with a formal qualification in the subject) if the human voice can be thought of as a musical instrument?
Then they are likely to ask if you mean "a capella", then maybe check their watch, refer you to the interesting Wikipedia entry, and promptly dash off.
Not to take anything away from the enjoyment of this. Both have fine voices. Lyrics are not likely to be on an Inspirational Pastel Poster though. Pity. Great tune. Even without any notes...
